So a couple of 26-gallon trips towing the TT and made the move to a 46-gallon Transferflow tank. Transferflow was great to work with and ours is the first 2020 to install one of their tanks. Things went very smoothly and we now have almost doubled our range without having to fill up. Interesting that the Toyota tank was plastic and had a heat shield. We could tell the Transferflow was a quality piece of solid steel fresh out of the box. We have a big TT trip coming up the first week of Nov so we shall see what shakes out on this first field test.

Does the fuel gauge still work correctly?

Yes it does. TF provides a conversion table of gallons to fuel gage also.

I love my TFT. I am stressing putting sliders on the truck though, that back bolt will SUCK to put on.

I would love to have 46 gallons. In photos, I don't like how much it hangs down, it almost looks like the GM Diesel's DPF fluid tanks. I figured if I ever found one, I would also have to grab some sliders. I would love to see a photo of what sliders you chose and if it hides the tank a tad.

Sliders won't cover it at all. it sticks out into the rear wheel well area. You can clearly see it. If you're referring to it hanging down under the cab below the frame rails, it's a non issue. You can't see it when looking at the side profile of the truck.

I have never hit it on the road. There's a small dent in the corner from a large rock while off-roading, but it's small and doesn't affect anything. I do plan to get a skid plate for it though.

Did you address any armor on your TFT?

No one wants to weld on it. I sure as hell won't. There's also nothing to attach a plate to towards the back.
