I know there is not a lot of actual experience with the new Tundras, but any real experiences on the engine performance and ride quality would be appreciated.

I realize these are trucks and the ride will be firm, but I am concerned with vibrations and shakes.

I am considering the new Tundra as I like the twin turbo power and MPG. I was always a V8 guy but had good results with the Ecoboost as noted below. I don't tow much so I can't comment in that regard. Below are my experiences for comparison.

2014 F150 scrw-6.5 ft bed, 3.5 Ecoboost. Motor is awesome. It pulls like a beast and I get 17/21 mpg. when new, it rode like a Cadilac, although the rear hops around on rough roads and is a common complaint. It eventually picked up a cab shake that was noticeable when hitting expansion joints or potholes.

2010 Chevy 2500 crew cab- 6.0L. Again motor was a beast but only 12/15 mpg. Ride was not bad but had the dreaded cab shake, which was discussed allover the forums. I changed the cab mounts but it did not help.

2006 Dodge 2500 Mega Cab. 5.7L. Motor ran and pulled well. 11/14 mpg. Truck rode great for a 2500.

I don't have the camper anymore so I have moved to the half ton trucks. I know it is a truck but would have hoped the ride would have been a little better.

    Thanks for your inputs.

TFL Truck on YouTube just did a 1 month review and was driving it over a washboard road. They praised it.

Most reviews I have seen give great marks to the truck for a smooth ride. One of the bigger positives about the truck actually. Smooth ride and quiet interior.

From someone who has been driving one, you will love it! No rear bounce, vibrations or shakes but for the "quite interior", the jury is still out. Mine and others have experienced wind noise coming from the window area.

Hope you get one and report back!

Just got done driving mine for a few hours. Ride quality is top notch. Didn’t play with the peddle much but other say they have plenty of power.
