So I am picking up my Black 2022 SR5 Tuesday. It will have stock 18" wheels and the stock tires. I want to replace the stock silver wheels and go with KMC 540 Recon wheels. Going all black with red, dipping the emblems, etc. KMC says the wheel has the correct bolt pattern, etc, but has a +18 offset, whereas the factory wheel is +60 so they can't guarantee they will fit. I tried to read the thread on wheel offset/fitment, but I don't understand offset. Anyone help a noob out?
Oh and here's a pic of the wheel for people to like or make fun of or whateverupload_2021-12-30_12-59-51.jpg

The lower the offset # the more it sticks out past the wheel wells , basically.

    Also here is a link.
Type in your stock wheel and tire size and your new wheel and tire size. it’ll give you a visual .

Thanks. So it will stick out 1.65" (42mm) more than the stock. It's hard for me to picture but I think I can live with that. But with it being further from the vehicle, I can't imagine any way it could bind or rub.

It can on hard turns, because the outside of the wheel is traveling farther on a larger radius. Kinda like running 1.5" spacers.

There someone on the 2022 tundra Facebook who put 18x9 +19 with no lift on a TRD off-road.

Thanks again, @alb1k and @TakiEvo . So if his 1" larger tires don't rub with +19, then I should be fine with my smaller tires sticking out 4/100 of a inch further. And the pictures make me feel better that I won't get kicked out of the neighborhood (for tire poke, anyway).

I imagine you will be fine, although I'm gen 1 so don't quote me. A 1" wider tire on the same wheel, pretend it's 0mm offset, sticks out 1/2" further, because half of the width is to the inside. Tire height and width, wheel width and offset, all work together to determine the outcome.
