Deposit placed on 2022 Tundra last night, Few questions.

I put down a deposit on a 2022 Tundra last night. Now have to just wait for one to come in. Maybe 1-2 months. I have a few questions: I'm wanting a TR5 4x4 Off Road (maybe sport off road)

1. Who has the best price on an extended warranty (Toyota platinum plan 6 year / 120K miles)
2. If you level the truck, does that void any of the manufacturer warranty?
3. Is the tail gate locking and do they have a hard bed cover for it yet?
4. has anyone had a chance to build on or do just get what dealer was sent?

I have the SR5 TRD SPORT (don't think OR applies to the TRD Sport) 4x4 and purchased the 120 months/125,000 miles First Extended VSC with no deductible for $2,569.00
The tailgate does lock.
That's all I have

To answer question 4 , my experience has been after dealing with multiple dealers and placing a deposit on a Tundra at Cedar Park that they load it up with many options you likely don’t want and that’s what you get. In a sellers market that’s what the game seems like at this point. You might get lucky and find one that you like with not a lot of bs on it. Good luck

 

That could be but the first time I've heard of this Special Edition Pkg. Sound cool though.

There’s no such thing as a trd sport/off road. It’s one or the other.

 

Dang, my dealer said wait time is around 4-5 months, that’s at Longo Toyota in CA

 

1. no idea, shop around
2. NO, magnuson/ mos act
3. yes it is locking, toyota sells a tri fold cover. Looks like prior gen bed covers fit the new body perfectly
4. just what dealer is sent + any toyota or aftermarket parts that are available through dealership

 

I think thats going to be the new norm. As with other auto manufacturers the wait time time is 3-5 months for an ordered item.

looks like this package is exclusive to gulf states
It is more of a cosmetic package with black rims, black out badges, predator drop step, all weather floor matts, ect.
