After owning my 2021 for a month I traded it for a 2022 SR% with the TRD package.

Long story short it does not have running boards and the dealer said they are not available. I went to the parts department and they said they are not available until Feb. And the aftermarket does not seem to have created anything for this truck yet.

Where can I find some running boards? I really need them to help me get in and out of the truck.

    Thank you.

Brand new model, so aftermarket has nothing for it yet. And if dealer can't get any until after February, you are going to have to wait.

The truck was just released this month. Just wait a few months and aftermarket accessories should be available. Maybe use a milkcrate and rope for now. Also, you test drove the truck, did you ask the dealer about them at that time? February is not that far away.

I have more than 4 step options from my dealer and on the online builder. 1) Predator steps 2) aluminum TRD steps 3) rock rails 4) and I can't remember the 4th

Your get Crewmax or DC? I don't want factory running boards so I may eventually have some for sale. Someday.

I just ordered the Predator steps for my 2022 Tundra Double Cab. I didn't think they were available, but I called my dealership's part department on a whim.

They placed an order for them. Estimated lead time, according to them, is 7-10 business days. For the 2022 Tundra Double Cab the Toyota Part Number is PT925-34220.

Thanks everyone for your responses. When I bough the truck the dealer said they were not avaliable anywhere in the USA. They said I would have to wait until February.

However I did some Google work and found https://www.sparksparts.com/c-exterior-parts-5999

I called them and they said all the parts that they list are avaliable. They said that the region I am in(TX) may not have them but they are in a different region and have access.

These are the running boards I am looking for https://www.sparksparts.com/p-running-boards-flat-oval-black-pt92534222

Lots of 22 owners are going to be removing their factory steps as soon as they get their trucks. Can probably get a really good deal on a take off soon. Factory steps are one of the most over priced items on a new truck.

I doubt they will be removing OE steps until the aftermarket community can get theirs out to market.

Can anyone confirm they have actually purchased OE steps from the parts department of a Toyota dealer?

Well since you really don’t need steps on a stock height truck and most won’t be lifting their new trucks for awhile, I think it might be more than we think. I’d take them off the minute I got home.

    To much to list:)
What I have come to find out with more than one dealer in the Texas is that the parts dept guys do not know how to operate the computer with in the outside realm of a part number. They always use the excuse of “we do not have access to certain parts in this region”!!! I do not know what that even means??? WOW!! The computer part was directly from Toyota in the Woodlands admin offices!! I do not know what it is but if you do not have a part number they can not find their rear ends with both hands! They were suppose to be working on this but in the past three years I have not seen any improvement. What has worked is go to Sparks or any other that has a parts site and type in different year dates and models and try to find your parts that way.

but being a new truck some things are going to be hard to find for awhile until they get made,,,, mats, running boards, window shades,,,,???

And watch shipping costs from Sparks....usually very reasonable but I didn't check closely enough and payed something like $240 shipping on my running boards for my 21' Tundra. Shame on me for clicking too quickly but that one hurt....

Folks keep posting sparks, but their site lists double cab stuff under crew cab. Would confirm parts with the dealer. If the part shows up as double, increase the last digit by one and you should get the crewmax part number.

I ordered my running boards from Sparks. No problem.

These Dallas, TX dealers are terrible. Everyone tells me"not avaliable until Feb 2022.

Yet mine will be here next week.

I talked to the parts manager at Sparks. He said Toyota breaks up parts avaliability based on the region of the country the dealer is in. As of 12/28/2021 he has 128 flat oval running boards in stock at his warehouse https://www.sparksparts.com/p-runningboardsflatovalblack-pt92534222

So its not a fluke. They have them and I have ordered them and they are for a 2022 Crewmax.
