So just found this out. Anyone else has the issue with their Bakflip rusting and coming apart?

I have the G2, no rust issues to date. The front rubber seal (the one that parallels the rear window) was coming off the cover. Nothing a little bit of silicone couldn't handle. Other than that, no issues.

I would think they would use some stainless steel screws or something. Disappointed.

We install quite a few BAK covers at my shop and unfortunately rusty screws is pretty common for them. I think they use zinc screws because stainless would fight the aluminum. When I run into this I try to replace them with black oxide screws and I fill the holes with silicone. Depending on how long ago you got it the G2 has a 2 year warranty on it but the catch is that the cover had to be registered with BAK and/or they want an original receipt. Their customer service, in my experience, has been reasonable to deal with.

I emailed Bakflip in regards to my rust and they sent me a brand new cover! I didn't get a call or email back. This just showed up at my door! I'm a happy customer!

I'm waiting for the MX4 I just purchased in the group buy. I'll definitely check out the quality when I receive it.

Quality is pretty good but if anything fails, they will back you up! I had no receipt or anything. Just sent them a couple pictures with my name, address, year, make and model. Super stoked!

My Bakflip 2 is just 4 months old and the rivets up front near the cab are rusting. There has to be a better way...sucks to spend a lot on a high end tonneau and have this happen. Looks terrible. Nice to know they will bak me up when it gets worse.

Just shoot them an email and send them the pictures along with your address, truck make and model, bed size, what type of cover, and they should send you a replacement!

It is great the have good Customer Service but this kind of thing should not happen in the first place. It make you wonder about their Q/A testing process.
