    In progress....
So now that I have the TRD dual exhaust I want to open up the air intake too, I already have a K&N filter but would like to get the TRD intake....but not for close to $400. Been doing my research and I have found all of the parts for a TRD intake system minus the new air box top for around $200.
My question is can anyone tell me if the stock air box top lines up with where the TRD air box sits?

I'm not sure on your question but I have the S&B and it works great. 299 shipped to door.

I don't have one yet but al leading towards the S&B dry. I plan to get the Cat Back Exhaust as well. I was told by numerous technicians that the CAI and the Exhaust will improve performance and MPG. But I'm ready forums that the CAIs are not worth the money and don't actually improve engine performance.

The TRD intake box uses the lower half of the original box in its existing location. So, it should lineup in the same place as the other one it is just taller. I have the oiled S&B CAI and I really like it. I have done no testing to back it up, but it definitely feels like there is a little more power to go with the deeper sound. The biggest difference I have noticed was in throttle response. It is possible to get better gas mileage as well, but you need to stay off the pedal… Oh, and it looks good too!

I am getting about .5 mpg better. The sound is awesome but makes me want to mash down on the pedal more, so that doesn't help mileage. Mine is oil based and I am happy overall with the purchase. I do feel the throttle response is better too.
