    Here. There. Everywhere.
    Vehicle:
2021 SR5 TRD Off Road - Cavalry Blue
    2022 SR5 DC 6.5' Bed w/ TRD Off-Road & TRD Convenience package.

Not much time behind the wheel (three 60 min driving sessions), but here are my quick thoughts since taking delivery last night:
    • Pro: The ride is amazing! [Chef's Kiss] It feels night & day compared to my 4Runner and my old Taco.
    • Pro: The acceleration really surprised me. It's awesome! The 10-speed trans is buttery smooth. Coming from the old 5-speed auto in my 2012 4Runner, the smooth shifting was a really noticeable improvement for me.
    • Con: Interior lighting is dim at night. Like surprisingly so. I dropped something in the passenger side floorboard and had to use my cell phone flashlight to find it. A few folks have commented this as well. Note: I have no sunroof so there's no missing overhead light in my cab.
    • Neutral: The seat - Coming from my previous daily driver (early 5th Gen 4Runner.)..I think the seat comfort is pretty much the same. I'm 6' 1". My opinion on this might change over time as I drive longer, but right now I didn't find it to be luxurious nor as uncomfortable as others have experienced. I might throw some seat jackers under the Driver’s side when they become available. All in all...for me...it's totally average.
    • Con: This was a bit of a surprise, but HomeLink is an option?? Every one of my previous Toyotas has come equipped with it and I’ve never thought I’ve had to spec it out as option. I've always had run-of-the-mill SR5 trims. I guess that’s on me for not educating myself enough. I just assumed. I'll own the mistake. HomeLink is option code 186 on the Toyota website, and I can’t find an SR5 package combo in the Toyota.com builder that includes it. I guess it’s only available on the higher trim levels? I know a lot of folks will think this is stupid, but I’ve come to use it a lot. Oh well. I'll have to dig out my 2 other openers from the junk drawer and clip them to my visor again. Meh. First world problems.
    • Pro: My truck had 2 surprises that are listed as additional paid options on the Toyota site: 1) The movable cleats for the bed rail system and 2) Wheel locks. They were small surprises but Toyota charges $80 for the wheel locks and $60 for the cleats on their website. The dealer said the came with the truck and weren’t charged as additional options. Cool.
    • Pro: The factory spray-in bedliner over the composite bed is a heck of a lot tougher than what I thought. My previous Tacoma had a composite bed and things always slid around all the time. Initially I wasn’t sold on a spray-in liner for the composite bed, but my mind was changed at the dealer. I let the sales manager whack it with a hammer (lifetime warranty on the liner so they’d fix any damage) and you couldn’t tell. No cracks or any indication of damage. I was impressed.
    • Con: The rake is definitely more pronounced than I anticipated. I’ll probably throw a leveling kit on as soon as the usual suspects (ProComp, RC, etc) start mass producing them so I’ll have options to pick from eventually.
    • Pro: LED headlights! In short…they have the best visibility I’ve ever had. Granted, this is the first vehicle I’ve had with LED lights from the factory, but I am mega impressed. On the same vein...I thought the tiny fog lights were going to be worthless, but I was surprised how effective they are for the size.
Keep in mind these impressions are from a total Toyota fanboy and I’m still very much in the honeymoon phase.

Whereabouts are you? I think in Canada these were included on the 2.5 gen, though it didn't sound like that was going to be carried on for the 3rd gen.

Southern Nevada. I thought the same. Curious if others who've taken delivery experienced the same or not. Hopefully, others chime in.

    UPDATE - 1 Week Later

So I'm about a week into ownership and I've noticed a few "quirks" that crop up occasionally. Both issues always occur one first start after very cold mornings (near or below freezing here in NV).
    • TSS / radar sensor needs to be reset - About every other day, when I do the first cold start after a very cold night, I'll get the yellow dash warnings that say my pre-collision braking & radar lane assist is off. I have to navigate via the dash menu and cycle them off/on, which fixes the problem.
    • Wireless CarPlay not connecting - Has happened twice lately on super cold mornings. I get an error saying the wireless Apple CarPlay can't connect. The error is pretty annoying because if I choose to ignore it and just start driving...it pops up incessantly. I have to stop, cycle the truck off/on, and then hope it connects. More annoying than anything else. Has only happened twice so far so I'll keep an eye on it.
Note: Neither of the above issues occur once the truck is warmed up or if the overnight temps don't drop into super cold temps.

I've got an appointment for some tint next weekend at my dealer. I mentioned to them over the phone. They said they'll document it and send it to Toyota when I bring in the vehicle.

That would be good. I don't have the same "Guest Profile" issue that the guy from YouTube has. Just more frequent disconnects from wireless Apple CarPlay. I drove to an appointment this afternoon (not cold and the truck was warm) and it did the same "Fail to Connect" with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Who knows?

Does the wireless charger actually charge? I worried the wireless charger wouldnt actually charge based off that one reviewer on YouTube. Where it charges so slowly It can’t keep up with Apple Music and maps being pulled from it?

Unfortunately, I can't comment on that. My SR5 wasn't spec'd with the high-end tech package so it doesn't have the QI charger in the center console. That being said...I've thought about just running a $30 Apple MagSafe charger and sticking it there with a little double-sided tape. I imagine that would charge much better than a regular QI charger anyways.

I’m in your spot with no QI, but it was very finicky in my Tacoma (had to be in the exact right spot) so I didn’t mind it wasn’t in my build. I like the idea of the MagSafe, it may fit and work nicely as there is the “double lip” on the phone spot (where it can rest on rubber, or the lower area where you can fit your cord.) Let me know how that works, I have the same MagSafe but in a generic charger, which I’ll try out there in the morning. I’m thinking a charging wire may be cleaner, but not plugging it in each time is nice.

Nick truck too by the way!

How's the audio sound? is it loud enough to hear at near highway speeds with the windows down?

One of the most common complaints with the 14-21 trucks was the piss poor sound system.

I have the basic audio system and I really love it. It gets loud enough for me with the windows down and in city traffic. Also, not that I'm blasting hip hop or something, but it has a surprising amount of bass for a factory, non-premium audio setup.

Thanks for the heads up on Home link. Also, since I'm also looking at a DC in a very similar trim, I'd love to know your payload. Congrats again and enjoy

Here's a pic of my payload & GVWR stickers. Payload is 1,500 lbs like most folks are posting. I don't have a yellow sticker from my dealer adjusting the payload so I'm taking the Toyo sticker at its word.

    Thanks very much!

I'm missing it but I assume it's a 4WD? If so, then I'm thinking that an SR5 DC 4WD 6.5' bed with the TRD Sport would result in a very similar payload amount.
