I spec'ed a Limited Double Cab with all the offroad package goodies and NO moonroof.
I was told by the dealer that for gulf states, Toyota is not building any Limited Double Cab at all at the moment. I'd be waiting at least 4 months and most likely much longer if at all.

anyone else where in North America got better luck getting such configuration?

My dealer offered me this one a few weeks ago. I’m waiting on a limited trd off road in army green myself.

Not sure when it was supposed to be built. The page won’t let me upload a pic right now..

yeah, I switched to a Seattle zip code and it shows exactly the package nicely
Oh well, I'm definitely not traveling to pick up my Tundra so Toyota either build it for gulf states or I'll just keep waiting

That’s the build I want, and what my dealer sent me but wrong color. Very few DC in the wild.

yeah, it's perfect in my opinion:
    • no moonroof, so not going to worry about leaks and drain holes stuck
    • no up and down motor powered rear window, not going to worry about weather strips aging and causing leaks
    • and for my personal case, I never need to plug something from the bed so no power package is okay, and wireless charging is always too slow and heats up and I never use. I looked at the beds of 2022 Tundras that came with factory bed LED and the ones that don't have. Unfortunately, the ones that don't have factory bed LED don't have a cut out in the bed to retrofit a light, but oh well, just bring a flashlight, no big deal

agreed. The wireless charging sounds like a gimmick. I don’t know if I would ever use the bed power but the bed lights would be cool. I always have my Tono cover down. I think the auto straight back trailer assist will come in handy in the future when The wife needs to back something

yeah, that's a nice feature too. However, I have yet to see how it really works in detail.
Ford's system requires installing sensors on the trailer and calibrate, which you'd only do if you own the trailer. But the most useful case would be towing somebody's trailer that you're not familiar with, but in that case I don't think you want to install the sensors so what's the point

theres a few videos out there on YT of SPA. Take a look, I’m curious is it calibrates “straight” to the truck or the trailer (maybe a dumb question but I’m not sure).

i don’t recall any of the videos describing any of that. Just hook it up and it lines the truck up to the trailer and keeps it lined up

I can’t believe how little room in the back seats. No leg room at all!!

Assuming the person in the front seat isn’t a total dick there should be plenty.

This is a 5’7” guy sitting behind a theoretical 5’7” guy.

I came from a Tacoma double cab, and I managed to make it work, so Tundra double cab should be fine too

I was expected a lot more room in the back. However, some people are saying that the interior feels smaller than the previous generation.

It is smaller. Back seat area is 1.5” smaller.

this one is pretty close to exactly what I want, minus the moonroof.

it really bugs the crap out of me that Toyota simply doesn't allocate Limited Double Cab to GST at all. I know Texans want big ass trucks like CrewMax + 6.5 bed, but there's something proportionally appealing to have smaller cabin and long bed, it just looks slim, lean, and youthful.

I believe that it simply keeps the trailer on an absolutely straight path from where it was parked beforehand, and regardless of the position of the truck. It doesn't straighten out the truck, just the trailer. So you have to make sure the trailer is pointed exactly where you want it to go before you start. You could be jackknifed and it would back the trailer straight back from where it starts. However, I could be completely wrong and standby to be corrected.

Some one on Facebook was kind enough to send me this picture which does a good job of showing the back seat possibilities of the doublecab. Personally I don’t drive with the seat all the way back. But could certainly scoot up further if needed.
