Me too, it will be a while, Dirty Deeds is a few weeks out.

 

Been up since 2:30 got the HP tuner licensed & pulled the first file off. Little bit of a learning curve.

Is Dirty Deeds gonna be tuning it for you? Do you have their exhaust?

 

I tried t pay for the DD exhaust yesterday and got stuck in meetings all day. I sent a text and left a message this morning. My wallet finger is primed & ready!

He does not tune, I'm in talks with Viktor & my 86 tuner who just got HP tune to do his new Supra and is willing to do my truck if I need him to.

We'll see how it all shakes out.

I'm leaning 12" I don't want any noise.

 

I have 10" and there is slight drone at 1800-2000 rpm which is annoying because that is my cruising rpm. Can be solved by manually shifting to 5th gear to get out of that range or stomping on the gas to cruise at higher rpm.

 

I had a BR86Z which is noisy stock and was worse with a full exhaust minus cats. Drone is the least of the problems. It's worse than my idea of a WWII B17.

I want no noise and ordered the 12" with Helmholtz.

 

Yeah, that’s what I don’t want……probably gonna get a Corsa.

 

HEADERS!

No air injection, I was afraid of that but I'll deal with it.

 

Installed the seat Jackers, made the driver seat much more comfortable.

Got my truck tuned by Viktor, the difference is night & day! Also, I learned, the truck thought it was running on 85% E85 although I never used it.

Viktor's response time was amazing, his knowledge and kindness are epic and I can't thank him nor sing his prisies enough!

It feels like a different truck, seriously, better than the Tundra on OVTune with Doug Thorley long tubes and a full dual exhaust.

The email commemorating my Dirty Deeds order said 30 days to shipment from 12/1 when I paid. So it's gonna be a while.

 

I hope HP Tuners open up the 21s soon. Feeling a little jealous.

 

Nuts, gaskets, blockoff plates. Parts for header install are all here.

 

Rear differential breather extension done, ran 16 feet of hose into the engine bay.

 

Did an oil change preceded by Amsoil flush.

Thanks, I hope I can finish the exhaust before winter is over. Doing the headers is pita enough without summer temps.

 

What cleaners did you run for the combustion chamber? Your pistons are starting to look much better.

R&Rd the tired belt moldings, easy fast fix, the first pic is front done, back not.




The scanner was ok, but very limited as far as Toyota and does not do as much (for Toyota at least) as Techstream, I emailed tech support and they first asked for proof of purchase, then for the serial number so It's on the way back to Amazon.

 

Second to last bit of chrome gone. Toyota emblem overlay, why doesn't Toyota make this properly??

SEQUOIA "garnish" under it is the last It's ordered in black why is it over 200???.
