have a look above that seal around the block. What can happen is that an oil leak above that, flows down and then disperses around that horizontal flange making it look like the seal itself is leaking. You'd need to use a mirror to access some places but i'm pretty sure the leak will be somewhere else rather than the seal itself

Could be a oil gasket. Really hard to tell just with a photo of oil on the ground. Have you looked around on the truck?

Have not had that problem. Drain the oil, pull the pan down, remove old gasket and install new gasket. Don't over torque or you will bend up the oil pan and mess up the seal.

i did take in to the dealership and they told me that all the bolts were 1/8 turn loose. the whole pan is wet all around the pan. it seems dry above the oil pan. the dealership told me that it might also be the oil dipstick tune o-ring. I checked that as well, and it is dry also.

i plan on changing the gasket this weekend, the thing that sucks is that I just changed the oil about 1500 miles ago...

Use a clean container to catch it and add it back in if you want.

not sure I trust it... and really not worth the cost of new oil over that of a new motor...

How many miles are on this truck? I think that you said 120k in the new member intro.

Ive never had a oil pan gasket go bad on any of my Toyota's. Even on my 225k miles 1994 Land Cruiser

Holy crap dude, Ive never had a starter issue. Are you sure that this truck was not in a flood or something.

Seals, gaskets, electrical problems on this "low of mileage" Yoda sounds like flood damage.

Toyota builds vehicles and components like Nikon and Sony build stereos and cameras. Shit never breaks and hardly ever wears out UNLESS YOU GET THEM WET.

It's all true... in less then four months that I have owned this, it has been back at the dealership, now 6 times. so far they have been very great, they have jump started it at my house, towed it from vip parking lot, and took me in with little wait time on my part. this last time, it was towed because it would not start. they hard to cut off the exhaust to get the old starter out and the new one in. they told me that someone had broke some of the header bolts. they even gave me a rental, a chevy spark... those things are cool... 44 mpg compared to the 14 or 15 in the tundra... it's nice to have her back...
