    Thank God they had the sense to seek shelter. I don't think they would be alive otherwise. A lot of people were killed in KY. :(

    Just chaos, and Wyatt and I were literally outside smoking looking up at this swirling mass of clouds right above our heads last night.

    Rain shielded Nader.

    Fortunately, the dog was the only remains that I found. I covered Roxie with a piece of carpet. Squirreled my BIL, sister and mom away.

    Bagged Roxie, and then put her in the back of the Squaw. I will be burying her with my other pets of yore.

    My sister asked for pictures if I had any, and I told her that I didn't. She doesn't need to see the things I see.

    So sad. You're a good brother for not putting her through seeing that.

    As a firefighter/EMT I've seen some pretty sad scenes but the total chaos from a tornado still trips me out. It's an amazing creature that has so much power I'm still in awe every time I've seen what one's done.

    Mayfield, about an hour from here...

    My sister lives on the other side of the county from us. About 25 minute drive with light traffic.

    Homestead did fine. Tent of pain didn't even budge...

    I switched from BRC to Intelligentsia about 2-3 years ago and haven't looked back. If I'm going to spend the coin, I want best bang for buck on flavor. Intelligentsia is some of the best coffee I've ever drank.

    Damn bro, save some for the rest of us! That's exactly what I've been hunting for :D

    More on this, I developed a saying at work that I have come to live by: "I take care of my people." I intend to mean what I say about the things that really matter.

    That was one of the things that everyone said to me when I broke the news about my two weeks.

    What a wild day. All is well here.

    @Tundra2
    Glad your family is well, sorry about the dog. I would say move out of tornado alley but if you go south, hurricanes, if you go north, f'ing cold and snow and if you go to far north you can add crackheads and high taxes. :rofl:

    @shifty`
    Best coffee? We drink Cuban style coffee down here and there is enough sugar in it to wake the dead. I kick it up a notch and add Gran Marnier, it's called Medianoche.

    Don't forget, I've lived all over FL. I'm no stranger to cortaditos, but you just can't get them made right up here.

    I tend to aim for cortados when I make my daily morning go-juice. The cortadito's big brother, more milk than coffee, but reversed with more coffee than sugar.

    I've traveled to a few states and no you can't find it like they make it here. My little mocha pot is about 20+ years old and still going. I had to buy a new steel cup to mix my sugar

    I've got a Bialetti I use, had it for 25yrs at this point, and for the exact same reason. Cortaditos. But I have to go light on the sugar, the big D runs on mom's side, and I'm not just talking about dicks.

    I have a proper PID-controlled machine too, to pull double shots for cortados. ~60ml spro, ~110ml milk, sugar. All the punch I need in the morning. Cortaditos are a Sat/Sun thing for me.

    Kentucky really isn't tornado alley. They get their share but not nearly as bad as the Midwest.

    I wish I had known they were gonna do this. Placed a big order 4 days ago from this dealer. I will say, one has to be patient if ordering from them. My order hasn't even shipped yet.

    Weird. What'd you order? Normally I have stuff in-hand from them within 3-5 days, depending whether in stock or not. This last order took the longest - and I'm pissed I didn't wait for the sale, would've saved me $30ish. But the order was here within 7 biz days, and I ordered day-of or day-before Thanksgiving, I think.

    If Dodge is willing to put their hellcat engine in most of their products, why haven’t they put it into their minivan?
