Agree.......Think the gray wheels look way better. Kinda liked the KC-Hi-Lites in original form. Maybe that just shows my age.....:rofl:Keep those mods coming Kris !

I opted to cover them because I felt there was just too much yellow, especially if I was going for understated coloring. I wish I could turn the covers right side up so the smilies were right but the covers have a notch on one side that make it impossible (since I mounted the lights upside down).

Haha, try posting without the exclamation mark. A friend also told me they couldn't post with emojis but once they just used "top" it worked fine.

To be honest. Spend the money on an ARB compressor and dont look back. Probably the best in the world. You get what you pay for and ARB is just that. Don't short yourself with junk.

I'd say you're top amongst everyone here man. That Tundra that you were up against looks like the definition of "mall crawler."

    Instagram update..

Late post but recently got some steel +5" long-travel shackles swapped in to replace my set of aluminum +3". There was nothing wrong with the @ekstromdesign shackles and I highly recommend them; I just needed more flex, lift, and clearance. I've gained almost another inch in rear height with the new shackles.

Unfortunately, I found out in the process that my polyurethane bushings are cracked so I'll have to swap in some new ones soon.

    Instagram update..

Yestrerday, I mounted a 45-gallon auxiliary fuel tank in the bed against the back wall.

I still have to do the plumbing but the end goal is for it to be a gravity-fed supply powered by a switch in the cab; this extra capacity should total me about 600 miles of range loaded down with gear on the truck ..or 500 miles if I'm being liberal with the supercharger. The storage chest will sit in front of the tank but more aligned with the driver's side because my triple-battery setup will be mounted to the right of it.

I'll do a full log entry of the auxiliary tank mod once it is 100% completed.

On another note, my bed liner by @linexsandiego has been holding up great since getting it sprayed about 2 years ago -- highly recommended.

The extra fuel will be awesome for you and a piece of mind. Great upgrade.

Is that steel or aluminum? It looks aluminum, so I will offer some advice from experience to save you some trouble and heartache. Do not mount the tank permanently by the little tabs offered by the manufacture. These tabs are for mock up and will tear, and not were you might think. I would purchase some tank straps or a cage (or make one). Leaks suck and with the type of off road you do, you could get leaks rather quickly. I had this problem with my first fuel cell and it was always leaking or getting replaced. Finally someone taught me a better way. Haven't had one leak that I didn't bash.

Universal straps work or you can make your own pretty easy since you seem to be very handy with custom work.

I went with a fuel cell mount.

It's aluminum. The tank sits on top of 8 thick rubber strips (measuring at 1"x12"x.187") on the raised portions of the bed floor. The 3 mounting tabs don't actually contact the bed since the tank is raised by the strips. Instead, the 3 tabs are held in by a combination of bolts/springs to allow for movement. Below is a pic of said combo (the spring side of the bolts will be under the bed)..
