:D that's true! Both things can be true at the same time

Life's to short to drive an ugly truck lol I'm half kidding. I'm sure some people think it's gorgeous and the out going tundra design is hideous. To them I say get your eyes checked.

Man your truck looks so good. Im looking at a rack for my topper too. Which rack is this?
Also looks like you’re running the fox pro suspension? What tire size?

Decided to go w/ the HF badland apex 12k synthetic rope winch. Mounted perfectly on the c4 bumper!
Im aware HF Has the reputation of cheap stuff/ but from the couple people I know with them and many good reviews online, I decided to give it a shot. $559 plus tax.

Looks nice. Could you share a link for them? I need a mount for my shovel - it's winter in northern New England now, so it may get used.

I did the same thing while taking a trail up a 14er road. I buffed it out myself but now I can see where I buffed. I need to wax it and hopefully you do not see the buffing anymore. Good luck man I know how much it sucks to see that.

Many Thanks for the compliments :hattip:
I built the rack myself but basically copied what @junior has done. If you check out his thread "My DIY Roof Rack" I think all the details are there. I was lucky enough to have a friend that runs a metal shop so I got my side plates cut using drawings provided and powder coated for free. I think Prinsu makes a very similar rack if you'd rather not go the DIY route.
I am running the TRD Pro Fox suspension but also added 1/4" CB shims for a 1/2" more lift to the front. I also added 1.5" shackles to the rear and running 1" BORA wheel spacers all around. My tires are Cooper Discoverer XLT AT3 295/70-R18s.
    Best.

I really like your front bumper. Is it homemade? Don't see many like this around.

I agree I love driving mine. But I use my Acura for work with great gas mileage. Plus adding all the miles on my beater car. My plan is the keep the miles low on my tundra since it is paid for. I have 33 years in with my company. I can leave when ever I decide to choose. And I will drive it all the time then.

    I made them.
I bought some 1/4" flat stock steel, cut to the size I wanted and spray painted with Rust-Oleum. Got some T nut slots with screws from Amazon. Bought rhino grips for the shovel mounts and smaller quick fist grips for the axe. Then it's just finding the right nuts and bolts to hold everything together. I found the flat stock moved from side to side in the bed rails so I added larger washers which helped stabilized it more. I used some blue lock tight on the screws in the T nuts. There are some threads within this form that will help too.

    That is awesome!
Which dasaita unit is that exactly? And did you have any problems with steering wheel controls, Bluetooth? CarPlay, etc…

If you get any sporadic "brake failure" messages, you may need to add a diode to the Leer's distributor box.

Also I modded it to have the dome light working with engine off.

My post in this thread (https://www.tundras.com/threads/dasaita-android-head-unit.45126/page-59#post-2526719) has the Unit I used. Its the 10.2 Dasaita 10.2" Double Din Car Stereo Android 10 Head Unit. I still have the canbus that I had used with the 9". The only thing is I had to go to the canbus settings of the head unit and enable the steering wheel controls since the 10.2 is meant to be universal. It was a quick 2 minute process tho. Bluetooth and wifi connected with no issues and allow for smooth operation of the Wireless CarPlay.

    Totally random question...

Are those traffic/road dots sunk into the road? Do you get snow in the winter there?

Because if that was here in Canada at the first snowfall the plow would go pop-pop-pop-pop ripping them off the road. Kids would collect them and use them as hockey pucks. Many would be severely injured by wolves in the process, hence the free healthcare thing.

LOL... The lane markers here are raised. Snow happens very infrequently here (maybe one to two snowfalls a year, for a few days at a time), and when it does, everything shuts down anyway. :D
