guess you never heard of Rock Therapy then.... we're going on year 7 and have been open to all toyotas for a few years now...even have non-toyotas show up as well... Oct 18-21 this year...usually at the end of May...

main threads have been over in Tacomaworld, but we've been spreading out to all toyotas for a bit through other forums... https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/moab.138/ you can see some years past... last year had 125 rigs show up..

anyway...best of luck... let me know if you have any questions as there is more and more red tape to cut through every year in Moab...it's a shit show these days

You are right ... Rock Therapy has been covered in most if not all 4X4 mags for years....Problem is everyone and their brother/sister wheelers know that too. Moab can be a cluster f**k at times, which is fine for a lot a folks. The Rubicon is a total cluster f**k. Timing is important. Anything after Labor Day is usually less crowded. Fall would be great time to go. Holds true for much anywhere. Especially high altitude wheeling before snow shuts us down here in CO. Shit.. It's May 23rd here in CO. We got up to 3 feet of new snow last weekend above 7000 ft. I'll be lucky to get up to my friends property in late June... Crazy.....

speaking with BLM lately on areas for us, they've noticed the season extending into November now... i know we're looking forward to getting away from heat and crowds by having Rock Therapy in October this year...

Bring a generator, dish, receiver and TV and you're in business. @Almaboy can align it and BOOM! Fight is on.

I need more time off of work... I won't have the days available this year remaining for a sweet trip like this :pout:

I'm hoping next year to use a week of Vaca or Tundras to Sedona or something.

If we keep the ball rolling in the direction it looks to be heading now, then next year will be a must do event.

The wife is on board to head down next year, just all dependent on our securing our holidays.
I'll be able to book mine as soon as they announce their dates, but my wife can't book next year until Dec or January when her's resets.

So for now, it's that wonderful wait and see period.

Let's all band together and support ROCK THERAPY too!!! Most of us at Tundras.com are probably unfamiliar with rock therapy and have been unaware since we are driving Tundras and haven't seen the Tacomaworld threads before now.

I'm in for another run to MOAB in October.

No need to build anomosity towards either event. Let's all just have some fun and protect what is usable space for all. Bashing either crowd is counterproductive to what 4wheelING is all about!

Let's all appreciate the sport and have a ton of fun.

I, for one, will be headed back in October if the cost of the Rock Therapy event is not like that of Easter Jeep Safari!!!!

Thanks for sharing Rock Therapy with the Tundra crowd. We appreciate the support and enthusiasm to band together.

Still too much. 10 trucks max for me. Its just too hard to find camp sites and trails take way too long when you have to spot that many trucks.

But if you ever do a trip with 10 max let me know and I'll be first to put my name down!

Is that the Burr Trail switchbacks?

We're driving to Denver from Phoenix by dirt road in a couple weeks and I put the Burr Trail on our route from Page to Moab.

This looks beautiful and I'd like to know what area it is.

It's the Shafer trail. Be warned there are some super skinny sections that our wide add trucks barely fit on. Once you start up it you are committed, there is no turning around or backing up.

Was talking to a ranger while I was there and did not mention that part of the trial has a good pucker factor with a Tundra.
