Didn't see a similar thread in this section, and if it's redundant, mods you can delete it, no worries.

Thought a thread where we post pictures of where our tundras takes us would be cool. Could be anywhere from the mall to the top of a mountain or a beautiful lake..

Nada tunnel (one lane through solid rock) a few days ago:

Is this tunnel close to Red River Gorge?

Taken me to the Goodyear blimp hanger. Not crazy exciting but that hanger is massive!

I haven't seen a blimp in years, pretty damn cool. I'd like to see one launch.

Yeah it’s pretty cool. I actually live right by it. I see them flying all the time. They had an air show a couple years ago and the people were passing out pieces of the blimp liner. It’s amazing how thin but strong it is.

Been wanting to take a day trip to RRG. Guess I’m going to eat pizza then hit the tunnel as well.

Out of curiosity (you might not know) is it hot air in them or a gas that's lighter than air? I know they used to be susceptible to fire. I'm sure blimp technology has come a long way.

I live about an hour away, I'd be down to head out there. There's tons of off road places around it too. Being as I don't want to scratch the shit out of my paint I'd prefer wider trails with little to no boulders lol

One of the gems of the Bluegrass State. We were in that area this weekend also thanks to the Tundra.
    20211205_084654.jpg

Did a little riding at Hollerwood Park.

If it's hard to get in to Miguel's for some pizza, try La Cabana. Right down the road from Miguel's but on the opposite side of 11. Great Mexican food and great folks.

We try to get to RRG at least 4 times a year. It's a 2 hour drive for us and we love the area and scenery.

I passed la cabana while we were there, I'll give them a try next time. We saw at least 4 trucks with side by sides out there, and saw another group of them riding down the road. Wondered where they were going. We have 4 wheelers but no side by sides.

Look up Hollerwood Park on FB, Insta, or they have a website. It is actually a county owned park with some great riding. It's on up 11 towards Zacharia. They have some great scenery and the park just keeps getting better. They offer trail guides if needed and TrailView has a GPS map they offer for $10 once you download the free app.

This is great info! Thank you, I'm still pretty new to Kentucky so still learning the area. My neighbor goes to a off road park/place somewhere down by corbin or somerset I think, he was telling me they really like that place too.

He is probably talking about Wildcat Offroad Park. It's a nice park too.

Something else to look in to for licensed vehicles is the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway in the RRG area. It is about a 100 mile loop through that part of the state. There is a Cartotracks GPS map of it that is really good. The loop has everything from gravel roads to some challenging climbs and creek crossings. DO NOT go on the DBBB alone. Have at least one other vehicle with you and in my opinion I would want one of them to have a winch or highlift to use as a winch just in case. In the rainy months some of the dirt roads can be washed out and have some really deep mud holes. A lot of people make a weekend out of running the loop and camp at Spaz Creek. Some of the best scenery on the East Coast IMO.

I owned a street legal toyota crawler for years and spent a lot of time in this area. Everything from mild to wild if you know where to look and what to stay away from.

I watched a few YouTube videos of a group doing that loop in Daniel Boone, I'd definitely be down to do some of it, i did see some parts of it in video that looked like it would ding or scratch the truck pretty good, shit like sliding sideways into a dirt/rock wall because the roads are muddy and uneven. Probably not gonna do that level of trail in my new trd pro. Now, 4 wheel it? All day. I gotta find a group or some friends that like this kinda stuff and are local. We love back country camping.

Your questions actually got my curiosity going. I had to look it up. Helium is used because it's not flammable (like Hydrogen that used to be used). They can pull in or push out regular air which helps control whether the blimp goes up or down.

Same here! hardly any pictures on trips but before I head the open road I always give her a good wash :) been to Los Angeles twice, Sacramento and Napa once so far its only accumulated 8500 miles on 1 year of ownership. But again here's a picture of my washed platinum for this recent trip i just took.

Damn! Wish I got that mileage, Kentucky hills are not conducive to that kind of mileage.
