Rookie question for you experts. Is it difficult to remove the front passenger seat? There are some electrical wires that run under the seats and I'm not sure what they operate. I was hoping it would be some simple ratchet wrench work.

For reference, I am going on a 9-10 hour drive with momma and baby and wanted to give her leg room while sitting in the back of the cab.

Picture shows what I'm trying to take out.
    Thanks.

I have the bucket seats, but should be close to same. It would be 4 bolts on the floor and easily done. Not sure what wiring is under the seat, but it should be an easy wire harness that can be unclipped. No cutting wires.

IMO it would be way more comfortable to sit in the front seat with it all the way back they taking out and sitting in back seat. Might be kind of dangerous if an accident too - but might be misunderstanding the goal.

Had mine out multiple times. Four 14mm bolts. Two in front. Two in back.

    Slide seats backward. Remove bolts.

    Slide seat forwards. Remove bolts.

Tilt seat back wards, and then unclip the seat sensor.

That seat is HEAVY especially if the center console is full of shit like mine. May be a team lift unless you have tard strength like me.

Wiring could be for in-seat airbags too (if equipped). If airbag equipped and you remove the seat you'll have the warning light on the dash until it is replaced (I had the issue while recovering the seats, very annoying!).

    Thanks all.
The lady prefers to sit in the back with the baby during drives. She just wanted the front seat out so should could extend her feet throughout the drive. She's 5'2 so the size back there has never really bothered her lol.

    Do it!

We did something similar with our rental mini-vans back in the day. Before starting our adventure I would remove the middle seat and cover the area with a piece of new scrap carpet. Traveling with two small kids, having that space for everyone to spread out, stretch out and have entertainment and snacks at the ready made the trips much more pleasant...for all of us.

All the wires for my factory amp housed under the rear passenger seat, they run along the floor where the xmission tunnel meets the floorboard. Just tossing it out there.
