Hello everyone. I’m on the fence between a 2022 F150 Lariat or a 2022 Toyota Tundra. I currently have a 2009 F150. It’s been a great truck but Toyota has always made me curious. I actually held out an entire year for the 2022 tundra when I was in the market for a 2021 truck. That being said, I have a question for anyone that may know. I see there is an air suspension option on the tundras, which would be great for all the towing I do. But I cant seem to see it as an option on the Canadian tundras? Anyone know why? Also I can’t seem to get a locking rear diff on the Tundra Platinum, which is another big downfall. It looks like the only way to get a locker is to go down a trim and get the TRD on the SR5, which I don’t want to do…

I'm not sure exactly what might be different about the Canadian trucks vs the US ones but I think you have to go to the 1794 to get the TRD Off Road package, which has the locking differential. I'm not sure if you can also get air suspension in that package or not, though.

Yeah the packages are very different for some odd reason. Why I have no idea. TRD isn’t offered on the 1794 up here. Can’t even get the nice darker rims on the platinum as well..

I built a 1794/OR/6.5’ bed in my area code. Weird that it would be different for Canadian customers.

Welcome aboard! I've gotten the feeling that the configurator on toyota.ca is buggy and missing a bunch of stuff.

I’m speculating but perhaps we’ll see the air suspension as an option on the hybrids or Capstone in Canada.

I’d imagine I’d be like my 17 pro that has parking sensors sunroof, heated seats & bsm, while the 17 pro USA doesn’t have those. But not sure why they wouldn’t put lockers on higher trims, if they were smart they would especially up here lol.
I haven’t really looked into the new tundras that much.
