Sweet! That's a nicely appointed build. Gonna be a good looking truck. I have a soft spot for the 250 Tremor, which I have precisely no need for, but they are badass. Post a pic when you pick her up.

I would and I am on a reservation list for a 22 pro but right now it won’t fit in my garage. I don’t have the 5 inches over the current gen. The max I can fit is the f150 and GM’s. The Ram and gen 3 are too long.

im keeping the pro res as my house is just a rental and might have a larger garage by the time availability comes.

My dad was a mechanic and owned his own shop for almost 35 years until he retired last year. Not trying to be funny or overexaggerate, but Ford and Chevy has kept his business running well and he never advertised. He was in a small town too. He owned a toyota pickup, then a dodge ram before they got crazy with stuff (1998 model 1500), then back in a tundra. Mom has had camry's and highlanders over the years. Things change, but over all those years, the Ford and Chevy engineering hasn't been great. He did admit that with proper maintenance, most trucks will last a while, but they opened themselves up to issues they didn't need to do. Is toyota perfect, nope. They have a couple engineering flaws...but FAR LESS!

I work in an office with about 50 people here. Probably about 20-25 F-150s from years 2015-new (about 5 of those are brand new). The rest of the fords are 250's and 350's. Probably close to 75% of the Fords here have been or still have issues from transmissions, engines (1 guy had entire motor replaced at i think 10-13k miles for practically drinking oil), and many other issues from safety features to just glamour features. It just reiterates the reason for me not to buy a Ford....most likely ever. I'll admit they have nice features and some look ok, but I'm more worried about reliability, safety, etc over cool features and/or price. I've converted a few over to yota (couple tacomas and tundras) at our office and they said they're not looking back. Coming from Ford and Chevy die hard fans, that says a lot I believe.

Nicely put!! Toyota has taken care of me since my 1998 Tacoma off road. I will stick with them. Been with them for a very long time.

I get it and I know it's prob not the most reliable. If I were the type that kept cars outside of the warranty period I would def keep the Tundra. But I'm not. I change every 2-3 years if that. I get very bored very easy. I not only change cars but change classes of cars. I've had a maxima, GTR, Tahoe, Yukon, CR-V, TLX, Traverse, Optima, and now Tundra within the last 10-12 years lol.

Also the biggest thing that most of you may not face is we are a 1 car family, so the wife has to be able to drive it and she'd feel more confident with the 360, BSM, and lane keep with the F150. I know I can add front cam to the Tundra, but that might not be enough.

Toyota is rock solid and nothing against it.

Same with mine. No issues. I use voice command to start my truck with my iPhone 11.

Unrelated to Toyota app does your iPhone run buggy as hell? My 13 pro is so god damn glitchy.

Not that I’ve noticed. My ipad pro has been a glitchy bastard lately but the phone has been solid. My only complaint is that when I’m typing in the text box in the forum, I can’t collapse the keyboard unless I click outside of the text box. Hitting “Done” does nothing…

Well gents 1 hour stop to sell the TRD and 2 hour flight later.

I love the Tundra and will prob be back in one but the market for me. Made money from the tundra and f150 was a $9000 off.

Nice. Looking good Dr (not as sexy as the LR Pro imo) and just remember there’s a reason why they knock off the price of a small room addition and the used car market knows that too…
    Enjoy Sir!!

Got her in September, finally posting bc I parked in the garage patiently waiting to get into a busy detail shop. This will be my new work truck, currently riding Sr5 TRD OR 2008 with 200k plus miles. I’m going to start a build tread for more pictures, tool boxes, and work truck related posts.

My to do list for the shop,
    Xpel clear wrap

-front end, (bumpers, whole hood, and fenders)
    -headlights,
    -side mirror caps
    -Side doors all four doors
-wrap whole bed and tail gate
    -Back bumper

    no roof needed

    Ceramic coat..

-Whole vehicle on top on expel
-Ceramic coat on roof and front window
-New wheels front face and back barrels

    - Exo Shield front window clear film

Tint, Expel XR with the 98% heat rejection on everything.

-front side windows to match rears tint 20%
    -Front windshield 70%
-Back windows clear expel XR also.

-5.7 side badge remove and reapply after expel.
-"Tundra" in side door, just remove.
    -"4x4" on tailgate remove
-apply "TRD PRO" inlay decal after expel then ceramic coat on

    and the LC Heritage Wheels!

This era of Tundra and Toyota trucks in general are starting to take on a 'classic' vibe with the introduction of the new models.... and I mean that in the best possible way.

Well it hasn't been snowing in the mountain west, and it's too cold for other sports, so I left the tundra home and flew to baja. So many Tacomas. One day I'd like to bring the big truck down, but not for another decade or so ;)

I did get my quarterly car wash last week, so I'm expecting all the snow this week, if anyone is passing through Utah to ski, let me know!

    Great Truck !

I find the F150's way more comfortable than the tundra. The reason why I ended up in a full size truck it was actually because of the F150 I rented in order to take delivery on my previous 4Runner trd pro.

I do miss the Tundra. I talk with another member on here and idk how auctions work but I was paid $66k for mine and it sold at auction for $62.5k. When I saw it listed I wish I could have gone and bid, especially now that I could have bought it back for less.

I used to have a dealers license. There are buyers fees on top of that so it’s not as much cheaper as you think.

but them selling at that price is a loss though right?

Yeah had to be. It’s probably a volume play, they make it up on other vehicles but take what they can get and move on to the next one rather than taking it back and holding and bringing it back again.

The fact they sent it to auction so quick almost seems as if they misjudged the market for LR Tundra. I think 3rd gen is stealing some thunder for this model.
