How much of a delay did they say for the rack?

Also didn’t see on your first page posts anything about a fridge or power pack. I’m looking for a fridge now and exploring options.

I don't plan to do a fridge. I don't want to mess with anything electrical in the truck. I'll just be using my cheap cooler and probably pick up a better rotomolded cooler to supplement it. As for a power pack, I'm only interested in something that will run the LED light strip in the Roofnest and maybe charge my phone.

Pie in the sky idea for me would be to get a solar panel hooked to the top of the Condor and have that provide a method of keeping the power pack charged.

You can look into Jackery or Blueitti solar generators. You can charge them at home before you take them with you.

I went with the Ecoflow river pro but the Ecoflow mini may suit your need. This panel may also work for you.

That'll be quite a while down the road. For now I'm just planning to try and get everything installed and good to go after delivery.

Gotcha, did they give you any idea for eta on the rack? BTW that rack looks sweet.

Sadly not. I ordered it through Hot Shot Off Road, and it looks like it was an email for multiple products with multiple customers. Nothing about mine specifically.

Your rack is stuck on the ship behind 402 other ships in the LA harbor. I know several people waiting on parts now for months. That sucks man! Hopefully it shows up sooner rather than later.

Oh man. This post got me thinking.

I wondered to myself just how many of my mods I got on sale or in group buys. Good news is that of the 14 different mod purchases I've made (some purchases were more than one item), 9 have been a GB, sale, or otherwise less than MSRP. The bad news is I followed that up by ballpark figuring the cost of each of them and adding it up. :help::anonymous:

Spoke with MaxTrax yesterday wondering when they were getting more recovery board mounting pins. Apparently they are on ship 403 in the LA Port.

Ok, with the help of @Squatting Pigeon 2 new posts were added to the front of the thread, so this is now my official, though accidental, build thread. :goingcrazy:

No. This is to document the spending I've already done. It's the rest of the forum that will make me spend more, I'm sure. IDK, though. Adding up the approximate cost on all the stuff I've bought (a bit over $12,000) put it in perspective, and I may just have to slow down.

It's because we don't know what we are missing until we see some awesome thing another member has done. Prime example is the Jowett Performance Filter Housing. We all know about the stock aluminum housing swap, but I stumbled across a post from @Prostar 190 in an oil change thread. Had no idea what I was missing.

Best info/pics about it I've seen on here were in @Inquiringone's guide. https://www.tundras.com/threads/billet-oil-filter-cap-with-drain-valve-installation.65512/

That is the struggle. I would reach out to Brian. His email is on his site https://jowettperformance.com/ and he's very open. He might be able to give insight for upcoming deliveries. The thing isn't cheap, but it's built really well.

NICE! I haven't seen any emails beyond the notification that my order was received. That's ok though. My bed rack isn't expected until Christmas time, and I'd really like to have that installed before the tent shows up.

This got me wondering, so I checked Roofnest's FAQ section and they say it can be a "day or two" after you order for things to get shipping. Given that I ordered later in the day on a Friday that was the end of a sale I am not really surprised that I've not heard anything yet. I won't really worry unless it hits the 10th with no word. At that point I'll reach out to them. They're usually pretty helpful, and I'm patient anyway. If I don't get my tent for a month, I'm ok with that.

I’m super torn between an ikamper mini and the new roofnest condor overland. Korean vs Chinese, price is similar. Hopefully one of you guys gets the condor so we can get some trustworthy feedback.

@BayRunner and I have both ordered the Condor Overland. I think the iKamper will likely be a bit higher quality, but not enough to justify their prices. iKampers come with no accessories, and I haven't seen a single review that hasn't said you need extra padding or an inflating pad. It's build to Korean comfort standards after all. Now, all my research was related to the iKamper Skycamp 2.0, so the mini might be different and cheaper.

Either way, as this is my build thread, I will definitely be updating the first few posts as things progress. :D

Looking forward to your reviews. I am not in a hurry, won’t need it until the spring.

Based on dimensions both should work with my intended setup, which is the taller 10” front runner legs on top of my diamondback, located in the center support and rear panel so that I can still open the cab panel.

I think iKamper makes a good tent, but I'm not convinced it's better than the RoofNesst. I've seen many videos of people moving from iKamper to RoofNest but not much the other way. Also, the iKamper shell is a plastic shell and the new Condor Overlander is an aluminum shell. That right there is worlds apart and one of the main recension I choose the Overlander.

That's true. The Condor ot the Condor XL are more direct comparisons.

@AzureNightmare I know you have not been looking for a fridge, but thought I'd mention this in case you change your mind Been researching fridges and really like the Dometics, however, not a big fan of their price. On the flip side, Amazon is full of cheap ones that I'm sure are garbage. I discovered the ICECO lineup that seems to be the compromise between the two sides. They use Secop/Danfoss compressors which are top of the line. I found a YouTube reviewer that had a sponsored discount code of "HOBOTECH" which will give a 12% discount on the ICECO web store. Managed to get a JP30 for half the cost of the Dometic.

Solid info and discount. Perhaps if I feel the coolers are lacking I'll go that way, but I'm a long way off. Maybe a passersby of this thread will benefit, though.
