All of Florida is a flood zone but this particular house is considered barrier/coastal crap legal jargon and does not qualify for flood insurance, basically your on your own.

8CD2C275-3BD5-49CB-95A8-186B406F808E.jpg I kinda mocked up my draw bar situation on the trailer. I will take it to work to put 240v to it. I didn’t think my swing out was that long but apparently that’s what I need to clear. I’ll hook it up to my truck and trim as much as I can, then weld that 2” tube to the center spine of the trailer.

    I don’t think so. It’s painted tan-ish.

Gotcha, I don't know specifics, I've just always believed welding galv. was dangerous / toxic

    Oh it definitely is!
Welding gases in general aren’t good for you, but galvi welding is super bad for you if not properly protected. This trailer is homemade and the materials don’t seem to be galvi.
As of now, I’m hoping to have about 42 gallons of water on board when I go out. and I want to build it out/up, but I’m still torn on 1ton or 3500# axles.

That was my thought also, but I'd like to take it from those seat bolts downward to the floor, but don't have a brake press or anything that could act like it anymore.

So now I'm just making excuses, hem-hawing and bitching about how nobody makes it anymore. For once I'd like to just pay the money, but not the kinda money a fab shop would charge.

I think you just described the entire state of FL

That, the population glut, snowbirds, and misc crazies and/or idiots are what drove every single immediate and extended family member to leave the state. Except my FIL and his wife, they're situated in a killer spot in Miami, same place she's lived for 60-something years. "Too old to move", but when they do, their place will pull a fortune.

I elected to vote NO and then elaborate in the thread.

You're far from the weirdest dude in here.
And since I signed up, I've noticed the 1GT crowd has, far and away, the best sense of humor.
