To start with I have a 2014 DC with almost 200,000 miles. I purchased it this year to drive until my 14 year old son gets his DL. I am 51 years old. I grew up with a system in all of my vehicles. I decided it was time to grow up and keep the factory stuff...that didnt last long.

In any case, I am old school and always loved my 6x9's...so I did some modifications and well the results are what you see. The headrest foam is removed and the frame is utilized as the platform for the box. They can be taken off and disconnected in 5 seconds if need be. Nobody rides in the back seat 99% of the time. This is my work truck. I have all the material and can go back like it never happened when the time comes.

I cut a hole and installed the tweeters in the factory sail panels. The JL box fits perfectly behind my seat. I put the remote bass knob next to the AC controls.IMG_1991.jpg IMG_1992.jpg IMG_1993.jpg IMG_1994.jpg IMG_1995.jpg IMG_1996.jpg IMG_1997.jpg IMG_1998.jpg I know I will get the usual critics about this setup but its my truck with a ton of miles that nobody from the outside can see. The bottom line is that it ROCKS. I listen to pure 100% rock/metal.. Tool, Iron Maiden, Rush, Megadeth, Van Halen, etc....

    Heres what I installed:

    Kenwood HU
    6.5 Kicker DS components.
    6x9 Kicker DS
Rockford Fosgate 300 watt 4 -channel amp
JL Audio 400w powered ported micro box

Everything is crystal clear at very high volumes and that box will rattle the rearview mirror. I couldnt be happier.

Those headrests look comfortable. Massage capability is a nice touch.

Very cool - reminds me of an old Dennis Miller joke. He talks about how loud car speakers have become. One day he's at a stop light and he looks over and a kid is driving a speaker. (It was funnier when he said it).

    Interesting setup.
Being a work truck, have you given any though into removing the rear seats and building a custom platform/storage setup with built in speaker locations?

I cant say nobody EVER rides in the back. Sometimes my sons friends if I have to go to one of his sporting events. I want the backseat because I allegedly MIGHT have multiple guns under the seat hidden from view. Maybe....

I hope those screws are in tight, because if you get into a high speed accident those speaker boxes could become projectiles.
