What have you found to work best at lessening deep scratches? Discovered this last night after being it various parking lots throughout the day… or maybe it’s because I’m parked next to 2 strollers, multiple bikes, scooters, and toy cars in my garage…

Wow....those are some deep scratches. You could go with a compound and try and reduce the edge of the scratches, and maybe then follow up with a product like Xtreme Solutions LVR403.....it's an acrylic glaze with some very good filling capabilities. Larry Kosilla has a very good video on repairing deep scratches, and it just so happens that he shows this technique on a black vehicle.

Ultimately, if you want it right, you're going to have to visit a body shop.

Depending on the depth, and that looks decently deep, you will definitely require some touch up or a re-spray.

Like others have said some compounding can reduce the appearance, but not completely.

    Good luck!

If it is only in the clear coat and you want to do it yourself , the Hail Mary is : Sand with 1500 wet or dry (wet) go to 3000 wet or dry (wet) switch to this before you hit the bottom of the scratch, compound out by hand. Likely a pro could do the same for not too much money. Unless you have experience I would take it in to a pro.

I had something similar to me happen to the rockers when not paying attention and running over a damn tractor tire. No detailer local to me would even touch it because the clear is so thin on vehicles theses days, they all said the same thing. If the scratch catches a nail when running it across there's no amount of buffing they can do to get rid of it.
