Bending it straight? Hmm that’s an interesting take I like the rewelding to a flat/level surface I’d say that’s a safer route. If you do decide to do either I would definitely like to see how it looks because I think I’ll probably end up doing your idea of flatting it out and cut the angle

the one downside to cutting or applying heat is messing up the powercoat, I can always repaint it, but it won't be as durable as the pc

I really like it and I'm not just saying that because it took me hours upon hours to install everything. I got heavy duty leaf springs, forged aluminum UCAs, beefy front coilovers and all the bushings needed.

To get the same stuff, I'd spend about 5-6k with Icon or some other brand.

I haven't really tested it out yet but once I do, I'll do a better review. Ironman customer support is top notch, they are great to working with. Customer support was needed when I had a question about the install. No issue with their products.

That's great! Price is tough to beat now on full kits, and even better on BF with free Treds thrown in. I didn't jump on it because I don't want the rear springs. I'm putting together a dedicated camper rig and don't think the springs are ideal for that.

You went with heavy springs front and rear? Planning to haul? Look forward to your review. Maybe put it in the big Ironman thread? https://www.tundras.com/threads/ironman-4x4-suspension.64691/page-19

Upgrading the RTT! Got a new topper for my mattress, so I took my old one and cut it to size to replace the cheap Walmart one in my tent. Insanely soft now. Actually going camping tonight to try it out. 3F9E0CB7-B3A3-4646-B36C-E3623AF77535.jpgD4A80B03-23FD-40FD-B604-E085CF12FE94.jpgD2B75F7C-AA67-4644-9ED5-D5B1BDFB3746.jpg

Took her to the truck wash this morning and knocked off a good 100lbs of mud before doing a hand wash to get her nice and clean & shiny again. Then, drove back up the muddy road this afternoon. Tomorrow, I will be hunting down the reason why one of my new bumper led pods isn't turning on then start modifying my floor jack to be off-road capable so I don't have to use the OE jack again.

Sidewall puncture...:annoyed: I decided that now would be the time to just transition to the winter set and look in the classifieds for a low-mileage pair to replace this one and whichever other one is showing the most wear.

Na not planning on hauling a camper or anything, just that rear gets super heavy at time when I go camping with my direct family and some bolt on people.

I figured, I'd rather have it and not need it...then to need it and not have it. Yeah, I'll post in that thread for sure!! Thank you!! I'm a newbie with owning a truck so every time I work on it...it's a first time.

Cali Raised Offroad said they don't make brackets for a crew cab...so I made my own!! If yall have a crew cab and want to have a molle panel WITHOUT drilling holes through your bed...then this is the way to go.

That rubber tubing is a old bike tire tube. Used to cut down on the metal chafing.

    Everything matched up perfectly

check the grounds, I had a light go out because one of the grounds corroded on the one butt connecter I didn't heat shrink

care to do a explanation or show the kit you're using for the floor jack?

That's the plan. I know the connections are all good, I solder and use glue lined heat shrink on everything. But, I'm not 100% on where the ring terminal is attached, I may have forgotten clear the paint off to get a good ground on that one.
For the jack, the plan is to add 10" pneumatic tires. I will chop down the mounts for the rear castors so the tires will clear, and box the mount to act as small outriggers. I am also going to make a skid plate that will bolt into the bottom. The tires will have enough air to support the weight of the jack, but collapse when lifting the truck to put the weight onto the outriggers and jack frame rather than the axle for the tires. I'll post up some pictures later when I start working on it.
Kit includes 2x 10" tires with black hubs from Harbor Freight, 5/8" round stock from my local metal shop. This is just the initial setup, I'll chop metal off and weld/bolt metal on next week when I go back into town (don't have the tools or power supply needed up here to cut the thick metal or weld).

@joseph_womack, this is the start of it. I decided to cut down the original castor mounts, I will cut the axle down next week and drill holes for cotter pins. Axle will get a hardened washer on both sides of the hubs. I do need to radius the bottom corner of the jack frame to make it so they don't dig in when I move it in around on just the rear tires.
    IMG_20211202_112704.jpg IMG_20211202_114313.jpg
Side note, it appears they use Bondo to fill any joints they don't weld......

The idea is really just to make it so I can get it in place without having to crawl under the truck to get it over gravel and mud. I think I will cut off 2" on either side of the castor mounts and weld some thick walled square tubing (opening up/down) and cap the ends to give more contact surface than the castors have. I'll try to get all the materials ordered so I can finish it next week and I'll put up pictures. Even with the rear as wide as it is in the pictures, it clears the truck tires when lifting one at a time.

how much do those tires on the jack flex when lifting your truck? and from just looking at the picture, my idea would be to trim the rear castor mounts (shorten them so they're not so wide) and then shorten the axle for the rubber wheels, but leave it resting on the caster mounts (as wouldn't that help with flex and strength on the axle?

I have them set to have 1/2" of collapse when under load before the frame of the jack touches ground.
That is the idea. I am going to make a hold down strap that will bolt to the castor mount and go over the axle to keep it from flexing upwards over time. If I need more height, I can always put on 12" tires to gain an extra inch.
