Guys I could really use your help. First dads dream truck was 2021 mgm crewmax loaded family trickster then I am hearing allmthis stuff about the 2022’s after buying 6112 bilsteins at 1.9 for the front over a 3/1 readylift, bakflip color match end caps grille bulge and 300 dollar glass cruise control piece bed mat bed extender Trd shifter in black and black and silver plus paint protection film bc it’s the last of the v8. Do I keep it or trade in and get my name on 2022 list?

I don't think this is a real question.

I don’t care what you do so I say keep it so there’s less people in line for the 22.

There was an article out in the last few days that say there is probably going to be a waiting list for the new Tundras up to a year and a half in some cases. Going to get a lot stranger out there!!

That’s a bs story based on one salespersons opinion of trd pro wait times at one particular dealer. There’s all ready lots of trucks available unsold. And Toyota’s in full production.

    Which is it?

The story was garbage and poor reporting.

I was asking....why would you want less of a line if:
There’s all ready lots of trucks available unsold. And Toyota’s in full production?

Its a real question my friend. Or are you saying there's no question get the new one? I got this truck when things were real bad in California no supply of any truck other than used and dealers were saying some may not even be built bc of shortages. Even then a 2018 limited Trd off-road exactly like mine was being sold for 61,000. Since then My research showed Japan had learned of the chip supply diffulties in the past when the bad tsunami rocked Japan and they since had stockpiled semi conductors. Now that it's actually looking like the new ones are arriving on schedule with the standard ttv6 that I'd prefer I wanted to see if fellow owners experienced the same information and are planning on trading in theirs for the newest model after experiences with the previous generation? If the new interior and amenities like crawl control and multi terrain are worth the gmc/Chevy Lexus love child looks. My father in law has had several tundras with no issues my truck had two coolant leaks under the intake that the master tech found with under 2,000 miles on the truck I have currently. I didn't ask if anyone cared but since you took the time to respond I appreciate it. It was my first brand new truck and I'm hearing all kinds of different information. Thought I'd ask tundra brothers what their thinking is. A few guys have said keep it till the bugs are worked out of the next gen and the v8 will hold value. No dealers in my area are allowing reserves or msrp prices all markup unless there's a corporate dealer like the one in San Francisco

And likely written by a Toyota exec to increase hype and demand lol
