There was a recent recall about the power steering. Maybe they just want to fix all of them before they are sold. It could be pretty dangerous to loose power steering while driving, which will lead to a lawsuit.

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/power-steering-recall.98594/

Not sure why he’d include 2022s though.

Pretty sure it only effects 2021 Tundra and 22 Sequoia. Not the 22 Tundra. It uses a completely different power steering.

I am still waiting on my 2021. It was suppose to be delivered by October 31. My salesman said approx. 45 vehicles has been stopped on the rail due to an inspection. He said it can take up to 60 days for the inspection. I sent him the powersteering recall notice last Saturday and he responded that he didn't get a stop sale at that time.

As long as those inspections are not CBP or USCG, those can take MONTHS.

That's not how it's done. You're supposed to give them crap right back in a good-natured manner. Like so:

Mine was built October 5th and held up at the Port along with many others. My dealer said at the time up to sixty days estimated. He also said it was for a lack of steering column parts. I said they shipped the truck without a steering column? He didn't elaborate.

My truck came in November 5th and has been good. Now I see the recall for power steering issues and it's in my time frame of the build date. I have searched my VIN and it says no recalls and no one has contacted me. I think they fixed my column and power steering before it went to the dealer. At least I hope so.

Don’t let those ellipses or commas get in your way one bit either.
I throw them… in random… spots, just, to confuse, people.

The best way to show everyone you don’t have thin skin is to proclaim how little you need something, while simultaneously using that something.

I don’t have to figure out how you tick, I haven’t even gotten you wound up yet.

And my day job would never allow me to come out of the ditch long enough to post.

I'm probably lost on the definitions here - if the trucks are built in the US, how exactly are they sitting at the "port"?

Goodness @OppoMojo. I thought I clearly conveyed that the aversion to misspelled words was my issue, and I was sharing a funny because I thought @timsp8 has a sense of humor. Oh wait, he does! Look at his response!

Now why would I think that I could joke with another member? Perhaps I've read his posts before, had previous interactions, and maybe I knew my audience before I cracked the joke.

I do owe an apology, though. @Demar002 I didn't intend for the ridiculous level of derail on your post. To the original point of the thread; I heard about a recall on the latest 2.5 Gen for power steering, but I hadn't heard of it stopping production. I was under the impression that production had shifted to the 3rd Gen by this point.

The trucks still travel by rail or truck about the country, so depot or terminal might be a more literal term. For an international automaker "port" would be accurate for most models, so they just keep the terminology for simplicity's sake would be my guess.
