Indeed, and that may eventually happen, but way more 'cycle miles will have to happen first.

In my mind,I see Wyoming kinda like AK, as in lots of open roads for riding and great place to see.
Those miles will add up fast and you'll be hooked!lol especially if it's just you and not the whole fam-damily

    @AzureNightmare

So what were you able to score during Black Friday?

And do you have a list of what you have so far? I’m sorta in the same boat as you but I’m in a fortunate position and I’m able to get an AT Overland Summit for my truck because I’ve busted my ass the last 4 years and pretty much paid off all my debt and bought pretty much everything I’m wanting. And because I’m currently deployed I’m able to afford the topper. Keep grinding my friend. You will get there in due time!!

Congrats on grinding it out! Thank you for your service, and keep safe on your deployment.

As for myself, I'm using the third post in this thread as a current acquisition list. So far, only the bed rack is ordered. Black Friday was a solid deal, free shipping, and no tax from Hot Shot Offroad. Hard to complain there.

I'm moving slow as winter is setting in and tent camping won't be feasible for months. I might snag the grill and other odds and ends through the winter, but I'm not in a rush.

Just read through the first 3 posts again. If you keep an eye out you can find the camp chief on sale through many sporting good stores as well as Facebook Marketplace. I used to have one and it was great for cooking outside of the RV (which I continue to live in full time)

Glad to keep hearing good things about that Camp Chef.. I plan to snag that and general supplies from scheels. I have a credit card with them and I use it for basic bills. Fuel, phone, some groceries, etc. and they give me points to use in store. Got my last 2 firearms at extreme discounts as a result, and I figure I can get my camping kit for next to nothing.

Smart man! I try not to buy full retail for anything if I can help it. I save and save and wait for deals to pop up. Now is the perfect time to save and wait for the deal on outdoor equipment as it’s normally cheaper this time of year.

Also post some pics of the rail system when you install it.

Well, this video might push me toward Roofnest's new aluminum Condor Overland tent.

    https://youtu.be/yUfRKPEfzaw

Their tents are still on sale through the 3rd, and I should be selling a side by side this evening. Super tempted to order the RTT so I can just install the bed rack and tent all in one go. :monocle:

If you can afford it I say do it because of the sale going on. It will be worth it in the long run. Tighten the belt a little to let your wallet recover.

    That’s my .02 cents.

    Keep us up to date!

Similar advice from a coworker. My thought was that I didn't want the tent just sitting around waiting for the rack to be installed. He pointed out that I'm either waiting that way and paying less, or I can wait anyway and pay more. My inner Vulcan cannot deny the logic.

Now I just have to decide it I want the smaller one that is aluminum, or the bigger one that might have the cracking lid issue. I think I might actually call them to discuss these points.

Once I have access to a computer I'll go update/edit the first few posts to get it all squared away.

This is true, but I'm hoping the rack shows up before the tent. That way it can just be installed at be ready when the time comes.

Maybe, but that would entail a shite-load of editing on the first few posts. I'd basically need a brand new first post, and I don't think that's possible.

Well, maybe then. Give me a day to see if I can get something that resembles a coherent plan laid out and pics. Might as well make it a build then.

Went from buying the truck with no mod plans whatsoever to creating a build thread on an enthusiast forum. Where did I go wrong?:rofl:

Im actually going to be doing quite a bit of camping through the winter. One of the reasons why I asked RoofNest about an insulation kit for the condor Overlander RTT.

Been meeting with customers over the last few weeks at trade shows who have resort type properties. They are crazy busy in the warm months but shut down In the winter. Owners are allowing me to come in during the winter and have the run of the properties. Will be nice pitching tent on some gorgeous Lakeside, oceanside and mountain properties all winter.
