RainMain. I wanted to let you know I used a tap and ran the wire from the head unit to the passenger kick panel. Connected to the blue wire out of the AI2 and it works great! I also ran a cable to the emergency brake location but I struggled to find the correct connector. It would be easier if Toyota labeled these so I can make sure. Anyhow I couldn’t have done it without your help. Thanks again.

Hi everyone! I just joined this forum specifically to gain access to these wiring diagrams, I've searched for some time and this is the only place I could find them online. Wow what an awesome resource! There's a ton of info in here!

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Yes, this site has more "unofficial" Tundra info than anything else out there!

    Welcome.
Not just in this thread though - the whole site has so much to offer. From creative ways to spend your money to friendly banter about sushi to a crazy group of degenerates that drop everything for the next release of stickers, you’ll find way more here than just wiring diagrams!

Lol! I know, I've been reading a bunch of different threads since I signed up. It's like a personal Toyota tech in your pocket plus much more.

I haven't got to the sticker part yet, maybe after I get my truck fixed.....

@RainMan_PNW - Can you help me identify the connectors for the rear taillight (lower brake and upper turn signal)

I want to make a new harness to add something in between these without cutting the factory wires - so I would need male and female versions of both connectors.

    Appreciate any help

Turn signal connectors you can find information on in this post where I built a harness to add resistors in-line for LEDs.
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/caseys-2021-lunar-rock-trd-pro-build.77317/page-8#post-2098553

    I'm digging on the others.

Edit: The BRAKE light connector is "R4" (RH) and "R5" (LH), which are both Toyota part number 90980-11020.

    The matching connector is https://www.corsa-technic.com/item.php?item_id=1041

@RainMan_PNW Thanks so much for this information!

Any recommendations on the pin/wire size & insulation size for the 3-way connectors?

This would be my first time building these types of connectors and I saw your recommendation on the wire size/insulation size for the 2-way connectors in that thread you posted.

Depends a little on what you are doing with the harness and what loads you are introducing. 16AWG is probably still a good size. For the insulation size, the "right" way is to measure the outside diameter of the wire you have with insulation. You should likely be in the 2.0mm ballpark.

@RainMan_PNW I may be introducing some extra load since my grand plan is to have the brake light splice into the top light as well. Then add the "turn as tail module" from Diode Dynamics to have the top/bottom work as brake lights and both flash with the blinker on.

I would be changing the top and bottom bulbs to LED as well, which would lower the load. But not sure if that would affect wire size.

(any thoughts are welcome as this is just my initial plan in my head until I start ordering the connectors and module)

I'm not an expert. But based on the size of wiring that is already there, 16AWG should be fine. I assume when you say "brake light splice into the top light" you are talking about on a cap or external rack. As long as you go LED, you've got very little load. And "turn as tail" isn't really adding any load, it is just reconfiguring the harness to send signal to different lights. I'm not aware of DD having one for the Tundra (though Hot Shot Offroad has a setup they just released that also includes full VLED replacement...and isn't cheap).

@RainMan_PNW Correct to all the above.

I reached out to DD and they had no plans to make one for the tundra, but they do sell the DIY module. It requires the positive turn signal wire and a positive brake wire as the input. Then it provides 1 output wire, which I am hoping that 1 positive output wire could support both the top and bottom LED bulb.

    DIY module: https://www.diodedynamics.com/tail-as-turn-module-diy.html

(Of course I can add the resistors in-line to prevent hyperflash)

Yeah - I'm not seeing this adding any more significant load. Their wiring on that DIY is 18AWG.

Hey RainMan any chance you could post a diagram like you did for TranTundra showing the plug at bank 2 of the secondary Air Intake System? I downloaded the PDF but man it's in greek!
