Side Panel Decal TRD Pro

Okay...does Gulf States stock the TRD PRO decals, so they can be purchased from dealership? Whichever aftermarket vendor Gulf States is buying from seems to have the best looking set, so I want them...

 

I just bought my letter inserts from Etsy. Apparently BDtrims and tufskinz doesn't have them listed on their sites anymore.

 

So far I've bought and returned 2 sets, one of which was from etsy. The 1st set was the thicker, plastic ones...didn't like the non-rounded, un-domed look. The 2nd set from etsy, was the "heavier than a sticker but still thin" ones and didn't fill out the insert enough to my liking. So they were put back in the mail the next day. The saga continues...

 

another member said tuffskins still has them you just have to call them or email them. they just have them off the website right now. i hope thats the case because those are what i want when i get my truck .

 

I found them on both websites...Tufskinz ($129 w/ free shipping) and Gulf States ($199 + 11.26 s/h). So now, it’s just a matter of deciding who to go with and is it worth the $85 roughly difference.

 

I can tell you from experience the tough skins emblems are the best you're going to get in quality.

But I don't currently see them on their website where did you find them?

Just got my tufskinz trd pro inserts in and installed. Honestly quality is iffy. The cut lines are not clean. From a distance, you can’t tell, but up close they are rough. They match the tundra insert on the bed well. Overall, they are ok but not worth $120 IMO

 

Go with the GST inserts. I wish I did….

I'd been on the fence for some time on whether or not to do the inserts...and after reading through here, I decided to buy the OEM part (00016-34195) from Midlands Toyota and put them on today. Excellent quality part.

To install, I put on nitrile gloves (been my experience the tape doesn't stick well to them and it keeps the skin oil from contaminating the adhesive) I cleaned the area 3 times with 90% isopropyl alcohol and microfiber towel and let it dry. Checked for any dirt/dust/wax/etc. before applying. The letters were on a corrugated sheet with a plastic film over them. Each letter had a pull tab which made it easy to pull the backing off. I pulled the backing taking great care to not drop the letter...and they really "fell" right into the stamped insert. [I did start with the smaller black Pro letters first to get the hang of it...and the red "R" is large and made my butthole pucker a little but they went on great.]

Makes a big splash on the AG Pro.

This is just me. Not knocking anyone adding these. I was going to when I got my Pro and decided write away I’m not adding them. I plan on debadging my truck when I get time. I prefer the clean look especially when it comes to detailing my truck. I feel it will be the same around those emblems. They look good.

 

I went Tufskinz. I’m happy with them.

 

I also went with Tufskinz. Excellent quality. I like them because they break up the solid colored huge bed side panel.

 

I installed tufskinz 2 years ago. Still holding up great. Price is steep, but I felt they were the best quality out there at the time.

 

I bought vinyl TRD Pro side panel stickers, but decided not to put them on. If interested in them, then let me know.
