AHH, so that is where the last 2 zerks are at. I have been greasing up just 5 zerks, I have been told there are 7 and I never could locate the other 2. Now I know!

I have significant grease accumulation at that location also. its really the only place I've noticed grease accumulate so far. I'm not sure why. The boots look great, no tears and they fit properly. my opinion is they sit high enough in relation to the wheel, that they get hit with road grease that flings off the tire. the boots are def not filled with grease, so I'm going to clean mine and see if the grease comes back. if it does, then i'd think it'd have to be from the road/tires, not from inside the boot.

also, there are no zerks on mine...they look just like those in the picture. not greasable.

    edit: zerk, not zwerk lol

I had a thread about this as well no more than a month ago. After many phone calls to dealerships, reputable mechanics as well as lots of input from forum members, it appears to be a normal thing.

For reference, here is what mine looked like: I cleaned it off and it hasn't been to bad lately at all.

Normal. Its not a good fully sealed part so the grease can make its way out. Should be a maintenance item to eventually remove and fill the boot back up with grease.
