For all those who have installed switch pros, I have a question. Most put it on top of the fuse box, my question is did you do quick disconnects inside the fuse box? Or just regular like the picture? Was wondering if something goes wrong would it be best to be able to disconnect those 3 wires in the fuse box or do you guys just plan on pulling out the add a fuse?

I do regular like the photo. I’m actually running 2 switch pros on top just leave your lines long enough to lift the box high enough for easy access. I have no issues getting into my fuse box even with 2 switch pros on top of it.

This I think is the main key — leave the wires long enough and you'll be fine.

I used fuse taps, but extended the wires and added disconnects outside of the fusebox lid so I can easily disconnect/reconnect when needed. Had to do it 2 or 3 times since for other projects and its worked out okay

SWITCHPRO AND WIFEYAIR.jpg installed SDHQ Battery Terminals, Switchpro and WifeyAir on SDOFFMT tray. Just need to clean up the wiring for a clean look.

I ran the Red,Blue, and Pink wire into the cab. I connected Add-a fuse under dash fuse panel for those wires, so it will be easy for me to get to in the future.

Hey just curious, has anyone else plugged/tapped the switch pro into a different fuse besides the ignition? I got some aftermarket headlights that are currently tapped into the ignition.

I did add-afuse right under the dash, instead of the fuse box in the engine. However the cover of the fuse under dash will need to be remove and keep safe somewhere in truck or garage

Nice, do you recall which one you put into for the one under the dash? I have a parking mode cable for mine down there so hopefully it is not the same fuse lol

What plate is this that you used on top of the fuse block? I am looking to install a Trigger controller, plus circuit breaker and would prefer to mount to a plate instead of directly to the top of the fuse box.

    Thanks

That's the power trays mount. I got one myself and so far cleans up all the wiring. There's another company that goes by name sdoffroadmt on IG and they make them as well.

On another note, can anyone tell me how the programming works on the app? I'm trying to keep the whole switch pro sp9100 from turning on all my attached accessories/lights everytime I turn on the Tundra. And so far yesterday, I became the guy with a dead battery lol :anonymous:

Well that's the thing. The LVD option is turned on and the Master Function in the settings is off.

Hmmm. We’ll then I’m at a loss. Although every time I’ve had a question I’ve called them and they pick up the phone and walk me through it. The customer service has been great in my experience. Maybe give them a call Monday morning and see what they say. Best of luck , I’m sure it’s something simple.

I’ll second this. I made a couple stupid errors in wiring my system up. They stayed on the phone with me after they were closed, then called me back the next day to make sure everything was correct.

Best customer experience I’ve ever had.

Yeah just made a call and they were able to help. It wasn't the master control option in the switch configuration setting, it was the Master Control towards the bottom of the list on the app. The good news is that I got a new battery out of warranty that won't be draining pretty hard when I remote start my truck in the cold winter

What there’s two ? Damn. Good to know I haven’t used the app in quite a while. I’ll have to dig in to it.

It's in the app once after you tap on the "configure switches" The one I wasn't aware of was the one at the bottom of the app after you connect via Bluetooth.

I wouldn't recommend it silicone epoxy be a better bet. After tightening it up that is just so it doesn't have a chance of water or humidity get in.

This is the one I have mounted in my engine bay. Makes it look more organized as it should be and helps figuring out what wire is which if you need to move accessories around. On the PT website they also have a bundle kit. I'll send a picture of how mine is set up although I don't have much connected.

Are you sure that’s the right link for the one you have mounted? Says that one’s for the Tacoma. I called them today and they said that one won’t fit Tundra. Did you get it to fit behind the fuse box?

Or did you mean to link the one that screws to the top of the fuse box? This one:

Yeah the one I sent is the right one. Unfortunately the Tundras has a engine compartment that's more cramped and tightly packed than the Tacoma. I went with this option, drilled and mounted it on the top of the fuse box. The picture below is not my Tundra but very similar to what I have in my engine compartment. I would recommend getting epoxy too if you mount to the top of the fuse box.

Love a the pics and details you guys have done. I installed the rcr12 about 6 months ago and didn't use fuses for any of the outputs. I curious why you are adding fuses on a MOSFET design that turns off when overload.
