so y’all walk into dealerships and say “sir I don’t care what kind of power this truck is rated for. What does it make at 2k rpm?”

You guys say I missed the point of that chart, but you are entirely missing my point. If you're going to do a dyno run, do a dyno run. They even show the stock curve, but don't show the blower curve besides a blurb of WOT. My Tundra makes ~600 crank as we speak, I'm well aware of how a positive displacement blower performs and I'm aware of how I and probably a lot of people use it. Accelerating from a dig, cruising the interstate, downshifting to pass, I'm rarely over 4000rpm and usually taking advantage of the massive lower end torque. Now considering there are two other superchargers on the market, with dyno data to back them up, it would've been nice to see a comparison besides just peak power--and no shit dyno data at SUPER low rpm is hard to get, I'm not talking below 2000rpm necessarily, just something remotely in the range of what you use on a daily basis.

To use your analogy @ATCinfantry , do you walk into a dealership and ONLY buy based on peak power? No, there's other variables at play. Can they all be showed with a dyno? No, but more questions could've been answered with an actual full length pull and power graph----which they were already there, so why not just do that? And yes, for the third time I understand they only want to show peak numbers, I just think that's a dumb choice, but I'm not buying one so they don't care what I think anyways.

I’m pointing out that you’re complaining on a forum that they didn’t provide all of the info that YOU want to see. If you just want to use this platform for that then by all means, go right ahead.

It appears this product was just released. Everyone here that knows who whipple is knows they make a bad ass product. Take a breath and give them time to receive and answer some questions.

Looking at that dyno graph, I already see it marking a TON more torque than a stock truck which, as you know, is a characteristic of a PD blower.

No I don’t walk into a dealership and ask only about peak power but I don’t complain they didn’t provide me all of the info I want about the engine power band. I ask them for that info and wait for them to produce it.

I’ll have an update once the OVTune is finished, which will likely take a while still.
But yes, on my last data logging run I saw it hit 20 PSI :)
I don’t have that run on video, but in this one it maxed at 18 right before I let off (this was still on TRD tune)
The boost gauge is the second from the bottom.

Love to hear his thoughts, something is telling me to go Whipple, but it's too big an investment without actual installed knowledge like the Harrop & Mag have.

They're great blowers I've had a few on other vehicles. They're larger twin screw and need some good boost to make some good numbers.

Whipple as a brand has a great reputation. It was my first pick but tuning wasn't available. The only criticism I've seen as applied to Tundra were issues with missing parts and instructions but that's been resolved. Installers will offer deals for them at end of year, if you don't plan on installing yourself it may be a good idea to reach out to shops in your area to get on their interest list.

That decision will probably be best driven by your use case. It's larger than the Harrop and is twin screw so it is expected to be more efficient even though you probably wont be able to get the most out of it without a built engine. You'll probably see it translate in the higher RPM band where truck stuff like towing is usually in the lower band. There was a question about bypass that I haven't seen answered, this could negatively impact MPGs if it didn't have one.

Install prices vary I’ve seen $500-$2k. They’re working a deal since shop owner is buying the maggy off him

contacted whipple direct asking for best price if i picked up local they quoted 7250+ tax. xat racing was charging 6750 shipped plus tax which would be ~7280 or so. trying to avoid the sales tax if possible and get under msrp. anyone else know a better deal?
