I haven't done a build thread yet and figured it might be nice to keep a record here of what changes I've made.

The day I brought her home..
(Actually to my brother's house, I was staying there for a few days after selling my house and waiting for our new temporary apartment to be ready)

I do a lot of canoeing and kayaking, so I had to have roof racks. I know there are other methods out there but this is my preference. This also gives me the ability to add a roof rack tray without additional modification. Interestingly I have no pics with canoes or kayaks. Gonna have to remedy that this summer.

I pretty quickly started modding my truck - I didn't plan on doing anything major to it when I bought it but after discovering this site while researching lift options things soon got out of hand.

It started with new tires, a 2" level, and wheel spacers:
    20160907_132422.jpg

Soon after I installed Spyder headlights and started deleting all the chrome:
    20160921_142726.jpg

    20160910_123817.jpg

I made a few trades and picked up these Worx Triton 806s for nothing out of pocket. Also added a Husky low profile tool box:
    20161001_183307.jpg

    Installed Go Rhino BR10 bumper:
    20161120_115710.jpg
    20161120_154203.jpg

    And a bunch of lights:

We enjoy playing in the snow and the mud:

    20170319_161837.jpg

I have been through three different lift options. I started with some Toytec spacers that I pretty quickly realized weren't working well for me. I then went with a FBG coilover kit on the front with 1" shackles and Bilstein 5100's on the back. The ride was a bit rough so I just barely made the switch to Toytec's Ultimate 2.5 kit with 1-1.5" adjustable shackles on the rear. I'm also running Zone Offroad UCA's.

My advice to anyone wanting to lift their truck: DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. If you go the cheap option you are just throwing money away. Save your nickels and get the right lift.

I've had a lot of different vehicles over the years, and usually keep them on average for about a year before selling and getting something else. This is the first vehicle in a long time that I have no intention of parting with any time soon.

Good advice on the lift. Props for staying on it to get it right.

Looks like taller tires might work.

Looks great Mike. Looks like you made a few mods with the thoughts of not doing much from the get go. Don't worry, you aren't the first to have this forum hit you in the pocket book. Great look with all you've done

Pretty sure I just talked the missus into getting me an aluminum RCI skid plate for Pop's Day. I bought her a 4runner for Ma's Day, so I think that's fair..

How are the Spyder headlights and the WinJet tails? I like the WinJets, but they have a lot of bad reviews on Amazon.

I have had literally zero issues with the Winjets. Truthfully I just noticed my passenger side Spyder has condensation inside the housing yesterday. I got both the fronts and backs within a few days of one another.

Interestingly I'm also pretty enamored with the while Tundra. And 4runner. And Tacoma..

My next Tundra will be a PRO and will probably be white.

That was another thing I had read about some of the Spyder headlights. I really like some of the Anzo ones also.

My bad. I thought I read you had spacers on but, probably had them on the stock wheels before going aftermarket. Where they 1.5"?

Yeah, I did run 1.5" spacers on the stock wheels for a while. Sorry, I should have mentioned that in my response.
