What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I had full intentions of taking my truck to Toyota for oil changes and then I realized how easy I could make it.And this was done about a week ago…

I think it was a weak bracket if I recall.

 

Definitely needed a ridged mount. That flex strap isn't the best application.

 

I ordered mine from Sparks Toyota. The part number was PK3B6-34JSO. Is this the one with issues? Guess I need to talk with Sparks if so but I’ve had no problems so far.

 

I'll look it up in a bit. I have to get the lights on this tree lol.

PK3B6-34JS0. That worked for my Crewmax. I know there’s another one that you can order for DC’s with the longer beds.

Current lead times & shipping costs for half way across country are crazy. I have some spare plates and a friends shop owes me a few favors……

 

I have a stock 2021 Crewmax. I can't guarantee that they will universally fit other models (especially lifted) like Valhalla's. I should be installing on a stock 2021 TRD Pro next week and maybe 1 or 2 Double cabs. Let me see how that goes and then I will consider it.

 

Sounds good & good luck with the install. Mine's a stock 2021 Crewmax as well. The shipping and duty would probably cost me double or more than the Valhalla's sticker price.
I know a few talented sheet metal guys and welders with decent shops and this would be a good starting point. If not cardboard templates it is...

Plasti-Dipped the Wheel Hubs, Tufskinz Vent Ring Overlays, and the Steering Wheel Logo Overlay!

All with the same Anthracite Gray I’ve been using.

Thinking of doing the same with my old 07 Tundra Shift Handle.

 

Went to Westcott Designs in Phoenix Yesterday to have the Tundra Roof Rack installed on my '21 CrewCab Tundra. Looks great. This is rack #4 as I understand it. Look for Westcott Designs to add this TUNDRA ROOF RACK to their product offerings on the Website soon...Btw They pull down the Roof liner to install base brackets for the rack mounting brackets. They will be loading a video of some of the details to their website soon. Everyone I met was great, informative, knowledgeable and professional. The facility is Impressive.

Looks very nice! Man, that front fairing looks really close to the roof. How much clearance?...it might just be a photo thing where I just can't see the gap. Thx.

 

Yes it is by design. There is a strip of molding on the bottom edge to protect the paint and roof it also prevents wind whistle.

 

Got it and makes sense. Just wondering about rubbing when the rack is loaded. Thx.

which brand light bars and what sized in each area?

 

Any gaps between the bar and the bulge? Did you have to remove the 2 corner tabs like we had to with the BD S8?

 

Nothing too crazy. I picked up some Amber covers for my Rigid Industries fog lights. Pretty cool upgrade for less than $30. They’re made by Rigid too!

 

Bottom bar is the Diode Dynamics 42 in bar and NSV Hood Light Bar!

 

There is no gab between the bar and the bulge and no I did not need to remove corner tabs. The bar causes a slight gab between the bulge and the hood itself.

 

Makes sense...the cheaper bars are alot thinner.

 

Do you have a lift on your truck?

 

Ahhh you have the NSV...that's why there was no fitment issues. However, the bar has weak output compared to its price.
