Just picked up a brand new 2021 Toyota Tundra Smoked Mesquite 1794 TRD Off Road vehicle today and am very impressed with it. I purchased a new 2018 Toyota Tacoma Crew Cab Limited in October 2018 and it was one of the best vehicles I’ve ever owned (and I’ve owned 4Runners, Land Cruisers, FJs, Camrys and Siennas). I had to part with my Tacoma at around noon on Monday, September 13th when a panel truck pulled onto the four lane road I was traveling on at around 50mph. He pulled out between 15 and 20 feet from me and while I instinctively turned to the left, there wasn’t enough time to apply the brakes. I hit his driver side door and went from over 50 mph to 0 in less than 1 second. See pictures below. I have about 10 contusions and abrasions but never lost consciousness, had no neck or head pain, no broken bones and walked away from the accident. I decided I was given a warning and opted to go for a larger vehicle for added safety. I shouldn’t be alive.

Airbags and great engineering saved you, that's awesome! Been there twice! Wish you much luck with your new truck!! Just curious, have any lights on while you were driving prior to the crash? I kinda think sometimes people see the other person coming, but because they see it so often, for whatever reason unfortunately sometimes it just does not click and CRASH!!! That is where the daytime running lights help, they just trigger something in the brain to process things differently. Just my .02 cents!
