Thanks its a hell of a difference. I had a lot of good luck with Toyota.

I had a 1989 Toyota Pick Up that I traded in 2003, fourteen years from that one. I'm on pace for the Gen 4 after this one but by then I'll be driving it around the nursing home.:)

Congrats what did they give you for your old Tundra? It looks like it was in great shape.

They gave me $7500.00 plus the tax credit so slightly over 7900.00. When I bought it the sticker was $31000.00 and some change. I paid $29,000 back then. So eighteen years for about $21,000.

It has its share of chips and scratches a little rust just starting below the back doors.

I changed the oil with Mobil synthetic every 5000 myself. Kept it clean and nothing ever broke on it. I probably could have driven it another 10 years till the body fell off around it.

Congrats on the trade! I won't call it an upgrade because I like those classic Gen 1's!

Wow that 1st Gen is in great shape. What area of the country do you live? Hard to find them like that in Snow country. I wish they would have given me that much for mine. Much less considering the undercarriage had a lot of surface rust. The body was not as bad as the under side but I love my newer one now so it's all good. Nice upgrade as well.

Massachusetts I always kept it clean and never let road salt stay on it. Also, never garaged it.
