What are your measurements from hub to fender? You’ll want to do it from there to avoid differences in tire pressure and such. Also, have you had an alignment done yet? That might bring the ride height down slightly, along with some natural settling as you drive some. And having slightly more preload on the drivers side is normal - the OEM spring rate is higher on the driver side to account for extra weight on that side.

I can’t consistently measure from the hub. Never seem to get it in the ecstasies spot to measure from. Yes I did get an alignment and it didn’t change much

Double check the spring rate, should be 700.

    What's your caster set to?

I reached out to Rigid over the weekend and found out they are holding their sidewalk sale on 11/20 at 8 AM. I've gotten some pretty good deals there before, so if anyone is looking for pods/light bars/mounts, it's a good chance to save a few bucks.

You gotta be there early. Showed up at the last one about 45min early and there was a line around the building already. Once I got to the lights, picked over and nothing but rock lights left.

That sucks, last I went was in 2019 I guess and there was a ton to choose from when I finally got through the line. I don't remember what time I got there, though.

Yeah, their original sidewalk sale prices and selections where great. With the popularity, prices are higher it seems like but still less then backdoor Amazon pricing.

    AND

FWIW, being that they have new ownership as of the last couple years - there warranty policy is extremely strict now so if you buy anything at the sidewalk sale - GET A RECIEPT!

Hey, me and the girlfriend are going to be flying into Tucson the end of January. I’m looking for recommendations on what part of town or a little outside of town to look to stay. Haven’t been to Tucson in more than 20 years, so I have no idea.
Also any must go to restaurants, specifically Mexican places?
Any input would be greatly appreciated, only have a few days there so wanna make it nice.
    Thanks. :hattip:

@Barrett50 I would recommend La Paloma or Starr Pass resort. My two favorites. I'm not sure what your budget is but they are nice places to stay. Some of my favorite Mexican restaurants are below. Im sure someone else will chime in with their favorites.

All depends on what side of town you want and what activities you’ll be doing. La Paloma is great - somewhat centrally located as far as the resorts go, really close to a nice outdoor mall with plenty of restaurants around.

Starr Pass is nice if you plan you stay on property most of your visit or will be visiting the Desert Museum - not a whole lot else in the surrounding area other than a casino IMO.

Ventana Canyon would probably get my highest recommendation - it is tucked in the corner of two mountain ranges and will give you some of the best views Tucson has to offer. Tons of world class hiking in the area - Sabino Canyon, Mt Lemmon, etc.

Up on my side of town is the Ritz Carlton. Similar to Starr Pass in that it is somewhat isolated - but plenty of hiking, golf, and restaurants within 10-15 minutes. Not far from another outdoor shopping mall as well.

food- Mi Nidito and El Charro are both great.

Feel free to hit me up if I can help out.

Is minidito the one that Clinton went to? It’s ok

@Barrett50 what kind of place are you looking to stay?
If you want to hit any trails let us know and maybe a few of us can take you out.
Hacienda del sol is a cool little guest ranch center/north side of town. Any of the ones Brian mentioned are nice too. If you stay at starpass you can check out the desert museum while your there.
    Rosas Mexican food
Barista del barrio(a little Togo joint with awesome breakfast burritos)
If I think of more I’ll let you know.

Yes, Mi Nidito is where Clinton ate lunch while in town.

We should probably throw out Tanque Verde Guest Ranch as an option if you want to go that route. Very expensive but top-notch facilities and service in my experiences out there.

Thanks guys!! We’re open to wherever as long as it’s clean and good location, resort, airbnb,
whatever. Don’t wanna break the bank but willing to pay if it’s nice and where we wanna be. We’ll start looking at the places mentioned. If anything else comes to mind let me know.
I’m totally down for a trail ride if any of y’all are available and are up for it when the time comes.

Also if your not looking to stay at a fancy resort/guest lodge, there are some other options near UA(it’s hard recommending anything because I live here and haven’t stayed at most but I’ve worked or heard good things about certain ones)
    ALOFT seems pretty hip
University Marriott might be a good choice
Or right next door a big new rise went up, I believe it’s called The Graduate. Part of its housing but it’s also a hotel as well.
I don’t know if I have any local air BNB places.
Egg Connection is one of my favorite underrated breaky joints

If you don't wanna break the bank like you said, I'll let you set up a tent on the grass to in my backyard.
I usually have plenty of beer around if that helps.

Believe it or not we do, just makes for a big water bill.

Do you have dogs? Because we just got turf put in last summer when we had our pool done, and are now thinking about going back to real grass because of the smell. I need to be better about hosing it down but we don’t have a faucet close by.

How about the heat? Pups have any issues with the heat on the turf?

It's an issue at certain times of the day. Luckily our pool fence gives some shade in the afternoon and I put up a cantilever umbrella for them so they have a cool spot to lay in.

Did you get the pet infill sand or did you get the normal one? We got rid of all our grass a few years back, and at the time we still had our dog and I never really noticed a smell from it, for sure hosing it off and brushing the grass helps though over time.

We bought our turf from turf hub supposedly they have exclusive grass that is called “cool Flo” and runs 15 degrees cooler. For the backyard we went with the allplay as it will last longer for pets/kids active use and play, then the front yard a plusher nicer that looks like a higher pile Bermuda so it’s softer to step on etc.

I’ve walked barefoot in the summer on them and I don’t think it’s to crazy hot versus cement.

If you are interested in an airbnb, private room in a large home on 4 acres, here is my listing. I am very close to Mt. Lemmon so I only recommend if you are looking for peace and quiet in the desert/hiking/etc rather than in the heart of the city. It is a 30 min drive to the UofA for instance but restaurants/coffee/groceries are about 5 minutes away.
