Sequoia 2nd Row Bench - Middle Seat Removed

I think it is different leather as well. My Platinum has perforated leather vs the regular leather. And I believe the Platinum are a bit wider since there is no armrest but not sure.

 

Correct on the leather. The leather is more than likely perforated because of the addition of seat warmers. If I had to guess I would say the seats are identical in width. If anything the Limited seats have to be wider. The console in the Platinum is HUGE! I'm not going to lie I was against the console, but with kids outside of car seat ago it's great for storage purposes and it turns into a massive table for them to eat Chick fil A on road trips.

 

Now I wish I had a console! I think the difference is the limited has arm rests and the platinum does not because of the console but the actual seat width should be the same.

 

so the Platinum, TRD Sport, or TRD Pro models have the bolt holes there and the seat is all you need? Seat belts?

I've been leaving those models out of my searches because they always have the middle captains when I want the full 8 person seating.

 

Any chance you want to sell that middle seat? We currently have the opposite of what you have, a Limited with captain chairs and want to make the second row a bench. We need the middle seat.

 

Nah I’m going to hold onto it for when my kids are out of car seats and I’ll need the space in the back to haul all their gear. Will the captains chairs work with the middle bench seat or do you have to swap them out completely for the whole bench setup? I think the captains chairs are wider than my “captains” bench seats

After reading more, it seems that I would need an entire new row rather than trying to add a center seat since the captains chairs are slightly larger than the "bench seat ends". Just relieved the hole already exists.

 

Yea you need a whole new row

you can’t use any of your existing seats,or trim

everything is different

the seats are different dimensions so just adding a center Jumpbseat won’t work

I looked for almost a year to get my Limited with Captain's chairs (with 4x) Finally found it in April and have been loving it since I finally got it in May.

Is there any other one I need I have the fronts and middle but I would assume this going down and covers the missing seat section or does my 2nd row one need to be changed as well

 

I RE used my center captain chairs second row mat

I did not have a center console in the second row,and the mat covered the pass thru area

i trimmed my mat to fit underneath the bench seat and rails

Did we do this right? The trim piece feels a little insecure because now it doesn’t have holes for the clips to clip into. Will the WeatherTech mat be firm enough to protect it?

 

The different trims have different part numbers for that trim piece. That may be why it doesn't feel secure. The 3rd row mat for second row buckets should be able to cover it.

So, I have a different scenario than what has already been discussed. I have an '08 Limited with bench seats that I love. Just picked up a 2020 TRD Pro w/ captain seats and I thought I could get used to the space between the seats but I can't, lol! I'm looking to add the console. Has anybody done this before? If it fits, my concern would be how the arms would get in the way of the lid opening. Plus, we fold flat for hauling a lot and I'm told the console flips open and becomes the same height of the folded 2nd row seats. Is that a fact?
