My 2008 RCSB

It's not nearly as bad in person as the picture makes it look. I had just wiped it down and that made the picture look much worse. I know TX210Tundra used Meguiars PlastX to make his look new again. I've got a bottle on the way so hopefully it cleans up nice.

 

If you find that, let me know. Would like to have a backup plan in case they don't clean as much as I'd like.

 

Someone tried polishing with steel wool ?

Lol it's really just a bad picture. And I got it super cheap. Been scoping eBay for a while now and they're pulling $500+. I didn't get it as cheap as you did but I didn't pay much more.

I know that in the description it does not state specifically that it's the tinted lens, but all the Optitron lens are. It also says that the model year is up through 2017, that's because the Sequoia continued to 17 with the same cluster as the Tundra had in years 07-13. Mentioned just in case someone with a Tundra reads this and wonders if this will work for their 14+, doesn't apply.

So I just used Meguiars PlastX on it and it worked great. But it isn't perfect. A local dealer had one in stock. For 20 bucks.. I'll take perfect. Will get it installed this week and post pics.

 

New mod. +10hp.

 

Took forever but it's finally here. Swapped it out and it's better than new. Thanks to Wynnded for the tip. Now just gotta get it installed.

Feels like a whole new truck.

Now we're in the middle of an impromptu sub/amp change. ‍♂️

 

The only thing that I don't like about mine is that it doesn't dim enough for my liking.

 

I noticed that immediately. I kept my stock one damn near off.

 

Went to my friends shop today just to swap out the gauges. Ended up adding more tint to my truck, adding a 750w monoblock amp and a new sub to replace my uhhh new sub ‍♂️

 

Tint is now double 5% all around.

 

Vinyl for the wrap is finally in. Hoping to get that on soon. Also looking into getting some headers installed next. Either going to go JBA Long Tube with DirtyDeeds midpipes using my stock cats or ARH but I'm not really sure yet.

 

Lots of threads to help your decision on those 2 brands. A few others as well may be worth a look too like Kooks if you haven't already.

 

My biggest hang up is the midpipe/cat situation. Send stock cats to Keith, run the ARH midpipe with their cats, no cats, etc. Definitely not no cats though, I want pretty quiet so that would lead to stock cats. But then that means sending 12 year old cats out to get fabbed up on the midpipes which I don't really want either. Ugh. Too many factors.

I'm finally happy though with the current and the ability to swap for turn downs fairly easy. Gives me both sides of the coin.

 

Got the new Kenwood installed today. This is the last time I change the head unit, I promised my installer.

 

Haven't posted in a bit. So in my recent update I showed that I swapped my original sub setup for the JL 12 in the JL box. That sounded amazing. Then out of boredom I grabbed a tape measure and checked things out and realized I could fit two of those in. Needless to say... I now have 2 12's and a bigger amp. If anyone wants a perfect sub setup for this truck. These JL 12w6 HO premade boxes fit absolutely flawlessly. Also had to put a second battery in to keep the new amp getting enough power. Don't mind the scratched up plastic piece under the subs. That will be wrapped in black carpet soon.

 

I bet than setup bangs !

 

It gets down. I'll have the previous JL 750/1 amp, that I used for a week, up for sale here too if anyone might want to do a single one of these subs in theirs. It was the perfect match for one.
