Just thought I would create a thread about Pro Eagles and how people are deciding to mount them. Pro Eagles are big and heavy (especially the 3 ton's). Everyone is different based on what their setup is. Some people put it in the middle of their bed, some people put it to the side. Curious to see everyone's reasons as to where they mount their recovery jack and why.

Interested to know as well. Doesn't have to be a Pro Eagle.

I really like the Pro eagles but its really hard to justify paying more than 3 times versus a harbor freight jack of decent quality.

I had a Harbor Freight jack on my previous Tacoma. It was alright. You still had to buy the pro eagle extension in order to use it though.

I have been using a harbor freight jack without additional extensions and it works fine, but granted, I am at stock height at the moment.

lol yea, I'm on 37's at this point and even my really tall harbor freight jack can barely do the job at this point for at-home jobs. I have the Daytona 3 ton low-profile jack. It had the highest number for when it is completely raised up all the way. it does the job, but I'm not taking that huge thing out on the trails. I'm pretty sure the pro eagle is lighter than that thing.

Gotcha. Ya that is the exact jack that i have too. Its a pretty solid unit and you can tell by the weight for sure.

Wondering the same as well. I was thinking of hanging it vertically from the accessory rails in the bed. Haven't really looked at it yet.

I think they have a 200# weight rating? Either way, my thought was to hang one one axle from the rails and set the other on the bed.

I actually did that on my old tacoma. But only because the bed is built differently. Tacomas have a lip in the bed so I was able to take a DMZ fab skid plate jack and a harbor freight 1.5 jack and stick it there. The DMZ skid was just wide enough that it rested on that lip and met up with the bed rail in the tacoma to put 2 clips and call it a day. I loved my mounting solution, but it wouldn't work on our tundras.

Got tired of lugging my 3 ton HF so I bought a 2 ton HF. Planning to make a bed slide with a mount for the jack.

Don't really have a mount for my Kratos, but I ended up locking it to my bed with the D-ring tie downs.

Kratos and CO2 tank - don’t mind the mess, LOL. Bag is recovery boards, and case is my air hoses for the CO2 tank.

    Also ARB recovery kit too!

    Let’s keep this one going!
I have the 3 ton Kratos and looking for ideas and pictures how to secure it to the inside bed of my crewmax using only tie downs of sorts. Ratcheting kind. Maybe d rings at the bed mount screws. Anyone doing something like this?

Well I made a bed slide that has a permanent housing for my 2.5 ton HF jack, extension, pry bar, 300# torque wrench, and 2 spare CV axles.

This is how I carry my Pro Eagle. With the help of a neighbors welding skills, fabricated a frame out of 1 1/2 inch square tubing to mount onto the Decked. Since our Tundras are no Prius, I will be carrying an extra 15 gallons of gas in Jerrys and an additional one for water. I bit the bullet and paid Pro Eagle a bit too much for the jack mount, but I think it’s worth it because the whole set up is solid. Locking it all down with a 3/8 cable and a plate to cover the bolts into the track which will be locked into place. My neighbor thought I’m paranoid with the anti theft measures, but people are stealing freakin everything these days.
