I need help getting an exhaust installed on my 06 double cab. I ordered a bolt on kit that doesn’t “bolt on” and I’m told that the shop I took it to is full of idiots from the manufacturer. Any help with the name of a competent shop is appreciated

The guy that built it wanted me to bend it using wood at certain points on the exhaust and I wasn’t comfortable with that. He then graciously said he would pay to have a shop fix it but want to make sure I take it to a competent exhaust person so I know it gets done right

    Thanks in advance

Cant help you with a shop in denver, but look for a shop that offers "custom" exhaust. You need a shop that can do welding, not just bolt on.

And if the builder said he wanted you to bend it with wood to fit...then it was not designed to fit your truck. Are you able to get a refund?

No idea if these guys are any good, but it seems they do custom work https://www.bdmperformance.com/

Boulder Muffler in Boulder does good work. Had a racecar get exhaust work done there, they were super fast and custom built the entire thing and surprisingly cheap. I don't know where you are specifically, but food for thought.

I was first told to send it back. That changed and he offered a solution of using wood to bend it. Then after telling him that wasn’t acceptable he said he’d pay a shop, “within reason” to fix it, then pretty much has me on ignore. Comes highly recommended on this forum and others and I’m a repeat client and this is all I got for a brand new, never installed exhaust. It’s fun

I appreciate the recommendations and will see how this goes but I have a feeling it’s going to be a $960 screwing

None of the hangers lined up and the cross brace was 1/4” from the muffler. He had me take measurements and then said they were right and the guys at my shop were idiots and threw him under the bus
