Installing the trd rear sway bar was easier than building with lego. Took me less than 40 minutes with no helper-- no stool needed to hold it up, either. Just a pair of Knipex pliers, torque wrench along with the 19mm and 22mm sockets, and plenty of anti-seize.

The bolts going into the chassis didn’t fight me at all— although tightening those to spec felt much harder than it should have.

We’ve all read it before- don’t hesitate to get the rear sway bar. I noticed the improvement when I rolled out of my driveway and immediately had a grin on my face. Toyota should send these installed out of the factory for sure.

I noticed it the first time I hit an extra ramp off the highway a little spirited.

there is an answered question from the seller…. A:This fits 2007-2021 Tundra models, but will not fit TRD Pro models, and will not fit with Toyota Accessory of aftermarket Tow Hitches.

I have a bunch of Amazon credit so I pulled the trigger.

Where is the best deal for one of these? I want to get one before the 3rd gen comes out and Toyota abandons the 2nd gen accessory market.

Here is what I ordered from Sparks for my 2013. I just got the truck a couple months ago. Only 107k miles. But not knowing the history I ordered all new parts for the install. Definitely wanted new bushings so the bar will be as secure as possible to get the most benefit. Ordered new bolts after reading all the posts about rusted bolts. They are 8 years old so figured I would go with new. New brackets were overkill but figured I might as well get them too while I was at it.
New bar is so much heavier than stock.

Enter code "tundraforum" or "tundra forum" to get 5% off. Not sure which one. I learned about the code after I placed this order.

    Front:
FR-SWAY TRD Sport Front Sway Bar $186.00
48815-0C050 Suspension Stabilizer Bar Bushing (Front) $21.23 2 each
48824-0C010 Suspension Stabilizer Bar Bracket (Left, Right, Front) $26.42 2 each
    90119-A0192 Stabilizer Bar Screw $1.82 4 each

    Rear: On back order
ptr1134070 TRD Rear Sway Bar $209.00

When the rear bar is delivered I will update with some pics.
A lot of good videos on how to install.

    Tips from the videos:
Going to get some anti-seize to put on the bolts. Best 3 anti-seize from a video test were Loctite Cooper, Permatex Aluminum and Nickel-Graf Anti-Seize.
Should be enough grease in the rear kit to do the front bushings too. If not your will need to get grease for them.
Use a torque wrench to install the bolts.
    Need 17mm and a 19mm socket.
Put the end links on completely while the bar is not on the truck. You can not reach the nut to tighten it when it is on the truck. A part of the truck blocks where you would put your socket or wrench to hold as you torque the bolt.

Can not find install directions for the front sway bar. If someone can find them please post them. I attached the directions for the rear sway bar.

I did find these torque amounts for the front sway bar.
If they are not right please let me know and I will edit this out.

The torque values will be the same as stock.

    Stabilizer bar-to-link nut:...........................111 ft-lbs

    Stabilizer bar link-to-lower control arm nut:...89 ft-lbs

    Stabilizer bar bracket-to-frame nut/bolt:........51 ft-lbs

So, finally got the chance to install it this morning. I am slow and read instructions as I went through. Took less than an hour to complete. Took it out and first impressions are it is as advertised! Noticed immediately pulling out of my driveway and in local traffic circles there wasn't the feeling that I was going to roll over into the passenger seat any longer. Well worth it and thanks to all that recommended it.

I am blown away by these reviews. I don't feel like my truck has much body roll at all, but this forum talked me into buying one. It's waiting to be installed.

Did your stealerships where you purchased the sway bar also want to sell you parts for the install (like a separate kit in addition to the rear sway bar?)

Just checking. I ordered one on Wednesday from local Toyota dealership and they are into me for more than 400 for the rear sway bar and or install kit etc... etc.....

Curious if I am getting played or not.

    Thanks for any intel.

If $400 is just for the sway bar kit, then you got played. The sway bar comes with everything you need, including the bushing grease.

They ripped you off. I spent $228 for the entire kit. It comes with the hardware.
Return the install hardware. You don't need it.

That $209 with free shipping from Sparks is an amazing deal.
