Have any of you installed the SABM kit on your truck? I had one on my 2013 and considering one for my 2020.

Sabm and throttle body coolant bypass are free/practically free mods. I recommend them to everybody.

My 2013 had the 4.6 and I did the SABM and Hypertech interceptor at the same time. How would the SABM perform with the 5.7? I am running your 8" system, TRD air filter, and Pedal Commander.

    Yep.
One of the first things I did years ago.
I forget about it sometimes and my tubing is bright red.
    It does what’s intended, still.

Can you tell me the what’s and why’s of this? I’ve seen it on the list on your site, best mods listed by price I think? As far as TB bypass, I occasionally read that us folks up north (I’m in Seattle but travel lots to the much colder Eastern WA) don’t want to do it for some reason I don’t know. If I should do that and SABM, I will trust your advice, but am cautious due to posts I’ve come across.

also, searching high and low for a veteran friend to buy me a DD system for Xmas on that veteran discount (jk). But free unsolicited mention for an insane discount for an incredible cause. You must be losing money every Veteran’s Day

I monitored before/after variances of coolant bypass and found temp reduction after sitting idle was drastically decreased. In traffic Temps would climb roughly 25* above ambient and would come down to single digits a little after a mile into moving. Prior to coolant bypass it would take much longer to get there and wouldn't bottom out with a single digit variance most cases due to the hot coolant running through throttle body.

I'm in Texas so I don't need to worry about cold weather typically. Northern folks would consider different I'm sure.

It would see a similar improvement.
