Guys… I have finally figured it out.
All these post complaining about dealer pricing are just dealer operatives.
They’ve clearly all been put here by the dealerships to get us accustomed to these higher prices. It’s all a ruse.
They’re going to keep pushing this until we’re comfortable with paying $10-$20,000 over MSRP.
And just think about it, us, as the gullible truck buyers that we are, are certainly going to fall in line with their demands.
I think we should all just give up now…
mortgage our homes, cash in our 401Ks, jump in a new 3rd GEN and tell our lawyers to rewrite our wills.

There’s really no other option.

I think your assertion is correct that prices will be "manipulated" on release but its kind of expected on a new model. Its hard to say when prices will stabilize and what that will look like. I still expect the new model to be more expensive than the outbound model not sure it will stay at $7K plus above current MSRPs.

Also curious to see what happens to the Gen 2.5 market
