    2017 tundra trd off road
    Looking for remote start only, custom shop I use quoted me a Viper and will program unlock button 3X to start truck, anyone have issues? I trust the shop.

    A lot of us here run a Fortin Evo One unit that starts the truck with 3 clicks of the lock button. This is the unit I use on my 19 Pro. 18 months, 0 issues.

    Pros- 100% plug and play, easy to install yourself.

    Cons - it uses the factory fob, so you're limited to its range. You can add a cellular module to it, however, which I have done. Not only can you start it anywhere you have cell signal, it's also a GPS tracker.

    You're a 1000% sure you don't have factory remote start already?? There have been a number of guys on this here lil' truck board who have found out AFTER the fact that they had factory remote start and just didn't know it. I'm not talking about the Toyota phone app. But the push the FOB button three times----remote start.
