Does anyone know if the OEM TSS wheels are powder coated, or painted, or some other type of coating? I want to give the wheels a good cleaning before selling them and I have heard horror stories on certain threads of white streaks not coming off after attempting to deep clean them. I want to make sure I use the appropriate cleaner for the type of coating it has.
    Thanks!

Just use car wash with a long soft brittle brush and a microfiber towel wipe down afterwards. Mine always come clean that way.

If soap and water do not get them clean, I'd get some Sonax FE wheel cleaner. Whatever you use, make certain that you rinse them thoroughly. The finish on TSS wheels seems to be a little more problematic tan other Toyota rims. I'd be inclined to dry them as well to further mitigate any residue deposits.

And do it in the shade making damn sure nothing dries until rinsed completely.

I need to try something on mine...hard this believe how bad they look and how a general wash/scrub seems to do nothing!

Maybe worth powder coating in satin black for $400?

Use some sort of clay bar to remove contaminants then polish with a coat or 2 of cleaner wax until the haze is gone. That is the process I used for these. They had a build up of brake dust and came out smooth and shiny.
