Morning boys. So I have a 18" magnaflow with a down shot 2 feet under the bed that came with the truck. And I would like to upgrade. It's is a 2011 5.7 V8 with a stock intake and filter. Looking to get some better MPG and performance. I rarely stomp on the gas and I drive about 50-100 miles per day in Southern California. I'm debating on getting a flowmaster 10 or flowmaster 40. Do you guys think I would see any improvements or am I fine with what I have?

It's political ;) Kidding a little. General consensus among the smart cats is stock eg. single exhaust for best mileage and consistent performance. There is not alot you can do to improve MPG beyond what you are already doing. Enjoy, that's a wonderful truck.

Nowhere near that clean and rust free if you look underneath a 2011 around these parts ☺

Borla.... nice low rumble, not too loud, no freeway drone. Easy install as well. No real improvement in fuel mileage unless you are cruising at 50-60 MPH all day long...

I just had my shop put 2 flowmaster 40's single in/out for a true dual and it sounds pretty good. Not too loud but it's enough to hear it. Zero drone riding along at 55-80 mph

A little of this and a little of that.
I had an 18" Magnaflow muffler and replaced it with a Flowmaster 40 because I couldn't even hear the Magnaflow unless I put the pedal to the floor. I like what I have now. When I have the funds I'll be calling Keith at dirtydeeds for one of his systems.

Yeah I'm thinking about going with the super 44. My magnaflow sounds stock and it goes from dual inlet to single outlet. I think the things on backwards. I bought the truck with it installed.

If you're looking for MPG there's no significant fix that would be better than fuel saving driving skills. If you're looking for performance a supercharger is the way to go and it truly doesn't hurt fuel mileage unless...
