Does anyone know how to make this section black again? Its a very faded gray look. I've tried back to black, 303 aerospace, heat gun, and a couple other random trim restore sprays to no avail. If it can't be refurbed, does anyone know the part number for a replacement? Thanks guys. Gonna phone a friend...calling @War Machine

Saw a video where a guy used an actual torch flame on faded plastic trim like that. ‍♂️

Solution Finish is by far the best product for restoring faded trim. It’s basically ink. If that doesn’t do the trick, nothing will.
A heat gun will bring the black back also, but it’s hard to get it even, and it can make the plastic brittle. Try Solution Finish.

I asked Roman about this when he was around. He sent me this diagram showing that piece only comes with the bumper assembly. So hopefully a refurb is possible.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I’ve tried the flame rout as well, so I think the next thing will be the solution finish. I’ll report back once I have the results!

Ok I’m very new at this thread stuff but so curious on where to find this TRD PRO grille? I’ve clicked both links but cannot find it anywhere. I’d love to do this. Also curious in this rear tail light tint. Love the honey comb pattern in it. Any help?

Also to take vinyl pinstriping off your Seqouia or any car just use a 3m eraser wheel or I use a Indasa vinyl eraser wheel that you can find on Amazon. It will leave eraser type rubber on your car but you can take that off with mineral spirits and a micro fiber. I’m a auto painter by trade so I do this kinda thing regularly.

As above, you can refer to the Trd pro grill thread for the official TRD pro grill. The one I have is an aftermarket one from China. I bought it prior to the sequoia pro grill release to the public. I’ve had it for a couple of years and it’s held up very well. The links change often on AliExpress but here is a current link. I believe the official grill will run you around $500. This one is around 250 shipped. I like this one better since it is solid and doesn’t have those lateral accents. Either way, you can’t go wrong.

As @War Machine recommended. It softened the contrast between the faded plastic and non faded plastic but it didn't completely fix the fade.. It does work amazingly (is that a word) on the mirror and under windshield wiper plastic.

Maybe pull the whole bumper and linex just the black plastic portion. Sort of a permanent solution though and would suck if it didn't come out great.

I like this idea, it would match the running boards. Are there any DIY products with similar durability of Line-x? Thanks!!

I've seen a few raptor liner videos, seems to be a good option. Not sure if Linex is worth the money but it might not be too pricey to do just that little area, they would have to do a decent job taping it off though.

Is raptor liner close to as durable as line-x? I’d hate to do the work just to have it scratch off shortly thereafter.

Yeah that’s what I’d be worried about, its such a small area, I’d price out linex first and see what they say.

It's been awhile (knee surgery, life, etc) but I'm still around. Here are some backlit SS3 Sports. They complement the OEM amber of the headlights very nicely. Thanks @memario1214, they are great!IMG_8042.jpgIMG_8044.jpg

I ran across a local guy that does 3D printing. He was able to print this steering wheel logo. I really like the result! It matches the front grill. Rear "model T" emblem getting installed tomorrow...

I remember when you installed that steering wheel cover. Looks like it's holding up well. Would you agree. I saved ur link and was ready to purchase one back in January then I started having steering rack problems. At the time I wasn't sure if I was gonna trade up to a newer model. Looking forward to the upgrade, just not all that stitching. Not sure if I'll be lucky enough to have my chip some time in.

Yeah, John. This thing has held up really good. It needs a wipe down but doesn’t show any wear at all. Definitely recommended! Send me some pics after you install it!

I have gouges in my black area on my bumper so with the super duper deal thread & free shipping looked at the price, it's 252 with 300 off on the deal price & 239 picked up at my local dealer. 52159-0C909 is the 2013 with tow & sonar PN.
