Was looking at comps for my 19, blew my mind.

All my hobbies revolve around truck stuff. So not sure stuffing the 10 grand in my pocket would give me the same joy over however long it takes for inventory to stabalize.

I just dont know... any thoughts?

I love my truck and youd have to pry it out of my cold dead hands. But everyones different.

Since I had a pretty bad trading habit that I'm coming out of..... yep. But there is zero out there that interests me. I could stuff a bunch of cash in my pocket if I did sell but life is too short to drive my old 2011 Accord beater every day until I figured out the next move. Buy some more toys, it will scratch that itch.

We are all different and have different needs and it just comes down to how I would find anything better with however much I get for my truck! If they are selling for that much and I need the truck then why would I think it will be easier to sell and find anything new for less?

I have a long track record of trading my rigs every 3-4 years. My plans are always to keep as long as possible, but I get distracted by new shiny things. Right now, I have zero interest in trading in my truck. I think I have an honest chance of not selling it for a long time, but only time where tell.

I will say if I had any of my previous rigs in this market I'd be shopping in a second...

I’ll sell my truck to anyone right now for the insanely low price of $99,999.99. No haggling.

This truck meets all my needs and I love it. If I can get the stellar reliability that Tundras are known for then this Truck should be the last one I buy. Only way I'd swap would be for a Windchill Pearl, but I'm not willing to go into more debt and all my mods would have to be moved over. Nobody's going to make me that deal.

My son is going through the same mental gymnastics with is 2019 Tacoma. You could sell the Tundra now and reap some serious money, but with inflation, supply chain issues, etc. you could be without a truck for a few years and pay substantially more. :monocle:

As the old adage goes... bird in hand is worth two in the bush!

I just traded from a 2018 OR to a 2021 Sport. Made out on the trade and the new purchase, couldn't be happier. Waiting to take delivery.

Edit: Would've been happy keeping my 2018, poked hard at a few dealership and wound up with a '21. So to answer the question, no.

Possibly, once the hybrid drive train has 3-5 years under it’s belt. My Tundra has been flawless and I like it a bunch. But I’d really like the added range, if the hybrid mileage comes close to the guesses. But with the 38 gallon tank I have now, I think I may have adequate range. I’ll find out for sure on my Nov hunting trip to MT. I have not done crazy mods, 5100’s, RCI skid package, LT275/70’s, Tonneau, Line-X, and a few small things, so would not take too bad a hit that way. My main concern about the hybrid is the ground clearance hit, so I would have to sink in more to address that than I did on my 19. My current thinking anyway.

I have been on a roll trading my Pro’s in. If I was not getting almost what I paid for my 4runner Pros I would not be doing it. That was my 17 and 20. The other years were my tacomas and still making out like a bandit. I don’t trade unless there paid for. So as of now my tundra is not going anywhere since it is paid for. Thought about flipping it but then I would be going back to a 4runner Pro. Did not want the new tundra that’s why I bought the last year V8.

"Boy tow mirrors sure look nice, better color match them" <- I am here

"Boy with a little air in thos bags, I could run 5100s up front and have a "lifted level" look."

"You know I did rip a step off my nerf bars last weekend hunting

...better go rock sliders. But only if I powder coated them to match the MGM."

"Since I did sliders I might as well save money on powder coating by buying front and rear bumper and having them all done at once..."

I just traded my 19 off road tacoma and got me a 21 tundra trd pro lr. I basically drove that tacoma for free for 30 months and got my money back. If in 2 years from now I get the same deal for a 23 tundra, I might pull the trigger but as of today the tundra is my last truck I'll buy. The big 3 don't interest me at all even though they have better features and or better mpgs and cheaper but don't have the reliability factor. My family is to important to be stranded somewhere

Nope. I have too much fun with mine. Plus, my wife's Yukon has some weird issues, and it has stranded her a couple times. SOMEbody's gotta have a reliable vehicle around here.

A friend of mine has one. It sure is nice in person. I started thinking about it a lot. (This was when I found out my Tundra was worth a LOT more than I paid.) I opened an account on the Ram forum and did some digging around. And just like that, I no longer want a Power Wagon.

I love my tundra and have invested (and continue to) money into it. But I get caught up in other trucks like every month with a wishlist of stuff; especially lately ... I wish I had at least a 6.5ft bed or more payload, this or that....but I also realize those thoughts are usually only when I'm not using the truck (aka when im on the internet). Then I also see how much something else would cost if I consider selling.. or take a camping trip with it and I end up still being stoked on what I have :)

I'm interested in performance. I daily drove a 425hp EJ Subaru, 325hp Mazda Protege and 250k mile 351 Bronco. My tolerance is MUCH higher than the average person. I've fixed so much difficult shit, I just don't care.

It's a Dodge, nothing can change that....

Daughter's BF, I guess going to be son-in-law someday (if he ever gets off Mama's tit), is a HUGE dodge guy.
His entire family worships Mopar for some reason....

He is ALWAYS working on his truck.
Not to mod it, just to keep it running..

This brainwashed my daughter when she bought her first 'new' car, she bought a 2019 Durango GT.
SO far so good with it, but I'd much rather see her in a 4Runner.

Dodge, Ram, Chrysler, Jeep, I wouldn't buy any of them.
Made by lazy UAW union members, and that is coming from a 35 year Teamster...
