I had two dealers in the SF Bay Area contact me saying they got allocation. two tucks each.
One sent me a link with Vin numbers.
    Anyone else getting anything?

Wow - that's awesome. I just did a quick read through and saw that the Platinum is coming with a limited slip diff? Not a locking but I'll take it.

why doesn't the build sheet specify the bed length? or colors? I thought they said we couldn't modify builds initially?

I figured the bed would be the 5.5' bed under the "Base Model", but I the colour was something I noticed as well.

Got a call from my dealer today as well, says he can see options codes, etc. So we went over what I want to order on mine. Right now trying to order magnetic gray crewmax, sr5 w/TRD sport, premium sound w/14" display, safety package or whatever it's called. He couldn't answer about what the towing package will include over the standard tow package that comes on all models.

I wonder if the two package includes tow mirrors? Or if that would have to me a dealer installed option?

Got this from another dealer in the SF Bay Area:

    Hi Art,

The Spec Sheet does not show an MSRP on the Platinum 4x4 2022.
    It is Grey.
I have attached a Spec sheet so you can see standard features and factory installed accessories.
The 2wd Sr5 crewmax is White.
I have attached a Spec sheet for this as well.
I should have msrp details in the next week.
My boss just released pricing for the 2022.
    4x4 2022 is $4000 over MSRP.
    4x2 2022 is $2000 over MSRP.

    I'll wait...

I believe if you get the 14" screen you get the premium sound (JBL?). Dealer specifically told me he saw the package had "upgraded speakers and the 14" display". I'd be shocked if an SR5 can't get the better sound system.

Agreed....but I put a $500 refundable deposit down to secure my place in line, I specifically asked about the scenario where if the pricing comes in astronomical and it causes me to walk do I get my money back....he said no issue. Dealer thinks same pricing as 2021 but maybe 1 or 2% increase. He also guaranteed me msrp and not a penny more. Other wise I would've walked.

I don't see how the pricing will be the same, does Toyota plan on eating all the start up costs of a new model? I guess we'll find out soon.

Understandable... But I mean how much can they raise it? A loaded sr5 I'm expecting will be right around 50k. You think I'm off base?

My personal opinion is that the lower trims will be a minor price increase, but in the higher trims it's going to be a bigger difference. Especially with the hybrid system. With that and $5 you can get a cup of coffee :)

Oh no doubt the pro is going up, along with the 1794, etc. But as long as the SR5 stays around 50k I'm pulling the trigger.

    Fingers crossed

Ya probably. I mean it all goes into the bottom line right? This year they migh not make a ton but the years that follow they will make more. These trucks obviously could have a lot more gadgets and be a lot more expensive. They shave off options to keep them on the affordable side.

they dont eat the cost, they just spread it out over the term of the generation and cost savings as years go by and efficiency gained per fiscal year on production of parts and assembly.

By the looks of this , maybe I will wait and in the meantime look at GM & Ford to look and see what they are offering to compare . It's your 5 or 6 year payment , but you are just ONE of their sales. In the long run you have to look out for yourself & that new car or (truck ) feel gets old real quick when you are making that monthly payment on an overpriced unit especially when the chip shortage eases and you find yourself upside down on your loan with excess debt on your overpayment.
I am not saying not to pull the trigger, but just know what you are getting yourself in. Be smart and spend wisely.

So it looks like it's called audio plus with the 14in screen 9 speakers in the crewmax and 6 speakers in the double cab on the SR5. Premium audio/JBL sound system is not available for the SR5 sadly.

Well... I'd be happier to have the JBL system but there's always aftermarket. I have the sh!tty Bose in my 21 sierra and I have a whole aftermarket system in my basement.... But it's not getting installed. Hopefully the speakers are the same size

I’m on the list at my local dealer and they didn’t make me put down a deposit.
They did say they are being told the 22s may be “up to” 4K more by comparison depending on model.
